The Phone Call

It's been a hard day for me. I want to just take it easy for the night, and I just finished my homework. I hate homework. I was getting ready for bed, and while I was washing my face I heard "Accidentally in love" playing on my phone. It was Sasha Waybright, my girlfriend. "Hi honey." I began "Hiya Donald. You OK? Today was tough" I smiled, knowing Sasha was checking on me "Yeah. I'm never racing James again" Sasha chuckled. I love hearing her laugh, it makes me feel alive. I'm hoping nothing bad will happen after today. I walked out of the bathroom and into my room, lined with pictures of me, Sasha, and our friends, Marcy Wu, and Anne Boonchuy. Marcy's the smartest out of all of us, there's no denying that, but she's also the clumsiest. In our production of Starlight Express last year, she had been playing Joule, and she constantly fell over. And when we all went to see a movie, a few months ago, she tripped over her untied shoelace, and her soda flew onto my head. Glad I was wearing my hat. Then I remembered "Isn't tomorrow Anne's Birthday?" Sasha and I said at the same time. We both had a little chuckle and I pulled out a birthday card and opened it up. Inside was a picture of a rabbit and a little ducky and all our signatures. I placed it in my backpack so I wouldn't forget it "Listen Sash, it's getting kinda late. I would really like to go to sleep now" "I understand, see you tomorrow. I love you Donnie" I smiled "I love you too Sasha" after a phone kiss I turned off my phone, and hit the light. I'm currently writing this with my nightlight as a ways of vision
