Oklahoma's POV

I had ran away from home sobbing, I couldn't do it anymore, it was too painful to see everyone die in front of me, it was too much. I cried out loud for this to all stop and get my siblings back and everything to go back to normal, I just wanted to die but I can't, there was only 17 of us left including Dad and DC, just 15 states, it worried me too much for the safety of everyone. I sighed shakily tears running down my face like their existence had depended on getting away from me but I only wiped a few away as more ran down my pitiful face. I had started running in fear that something of my imagination was going to murder me.

I ran and ran until I got tired of my legs hurting and my backpack slamming against my back with every few steps. I stood there my legs feeling like jello as tears continued to stream down my face like the Colorado river, the one that killed the state it started in and ran through. Thinking about Colorado and they way they died made me cry more and I started walking faster until I heard the rattle of what I thought was just my ears until something had stabbed right through my skin and I looked down and screamed in pain as the snake that pierced my skin like a knife wouldn't let go and I cried out in pain.

I screamed out for it to stop and it did and slithered away rapidly but my leg only screamed in pain which made me cry more. I took off my backpack and searched it only to learn that I had forgotten my phone all the way back home and panic set in, I didn't know what to do as trying to suck the venom out would only end up hurting me more. The venom caused the pain spreading in my leg to start pounding like crazy and I held it but it only screamed at me in pain. I cried knowing I couldn't do anything and just had to suffer knowing that it was too late to try and save me, not like anybody was coming anyways.

My breathing had picked up but I tried to calm it as to not have my blood pumping more spreading the poison that was thickening my blood causing blood clots. As I sat there in pain crying and wheezing in pain breathing hard the pain had spread to around my entire leg maybe even more bits at this point and when I tried moving everything hurt ten times more than before and I screamed bloody murder. At this point I was to panicked to not noticed the hurried footsteps rush to me and when arms wrapped around me I flinched only to notice that it was dad.

"D-dad!" I said looking at him expecting anger but it was just a worried expression. "Oklahoma, I can't, I can't lose you too, what happened." Dad asked me and I looked at him trying to ignore the pounding pain that spread to my torso. "I-I was bit by a snake, i-it's too late dad, I've sat here t-too long." I said looking down and relaxing there as a pounding pain spread throughout my body and I laid there getting ready to pass out and die when I felt dad's tears fall onto my hair and I heard the small sniffles he made as he cried.

I felt my body go limp as my consciousness slipped slowly until I lost a hold of my body and slipped into nothing.

I woke up at the place I thought I died and sat up and looked around and I saw dad hold my body crying a bit harder than when I lost my grip. I felt bad like shit for making the mistake of running away and I looked away ashamed of what I did the I felt a hand on my shoulder and I freaked out and whipped around not believing who it was. "Oklahoma calm down, I just want to ask a question for your dad he'll probably ask me later, but, why did you run away." Imperial Japan asked and I looked away and started crying softly and shrugged. "It, it hurt too much to see everybody else die in front of my eyes, it just, it just hurt me too much." I said curling up

"I-it's ok, I can understand that in away from being, thousands of years old, look, I've been here from the start even if I became a country in the 1800s, my physical being has been here since the start." Imperial said looking away leaning against nothing. "Yet a 200 year old country took you out." I added and he shook his head. "he was 100 at the time actually." Imperial said correcting me. "Right..." I said. "Hey kid, do you wanna go see all your siblings? They might freak you out a bit as they all look different after death but do you wanna go see them? Well you gotta go on your own as if I get to far from your dad it'll hurt him." Imperial said and I nodded and got up and started bolting back in the direction of the house.
