COURTNEY'S PERSPECTIVE

The motorcycle slows down just as we pull into the parking area of my apartment complex. I let out a huge sigh of ease, thrilled that it was finally over. Duncan completely stops the motorcycle, and steps over onto the other side. I unbuckle my helmet, stating, "We are never doing that again!" He laughs at my complaints, retorting, "Court you loved it! You were shouting with joy the whole time." The delinquent effortlessly picks me up from the back of the bike, and holds me in the air.

"Duncan! Put me down," I playfully protest, hitting him on his back. "Never," he winks. I wrap my legs around his waist and place my hands onto his cheeks, leaning into his lips and kissing him contently.

I unravel my legs off of him and he stores me onto the ground. "So, I'll walk you up to your place, and then I'll get going," he suggests while draping his arm over my shoulders. I turn and look up to him, offering, "You could always stay the night if you need to. It's really late." Duncan smirks at my words, answering, "If you insist. But won't Scott be here." Shaking my head, I clarify, "He won't be. Not after everything from the past couple of days. Really, he hasn't actually stayed here in months, so he's not an issue at all." He nods his head, confident in my answer.

We gallop up the stairs together, grinning ear to ear. Arriving at my front door, I dig for my keys that are in my purse. Whipping them out, I insert them into the keyhole and unlock the entrance. I hold onto Duncans hand and lug him inside. Shutting the door behind us and placing my things onto the countertop, Duncan says, "I didn't get a good look at your place when I came here last time, it's really nice." I kindly respond, "Thank you, it took me so long to get everything together."

Hands make themself comfortable around my waist, as I feel a warm figure pressed up against my back. Cheeks flushing, I turn around and face the studious Duncan, towering over me. He grabs hold of the point on my chin and lifts it up, closer to him. "I love you Princess," he says lustfully. "I love you more, Duncan."

Slowly, we veer our lips closer together, but we are halted, as we hear a sharp collision of thunder entering from the corner of the apartment. Scott walks out of my bedroom, bringing his hands together for a loud, and painfully slow clap, staring at us perversely.

"Scott," I scream, "What the fuck are you doing here?" Duncan stands to the side of me, slightly in front, trying to shield me. "Well, well, well," Scott starts, "I always knew it. I always fucking knew you would run back to him you whore!" Duncan stomps his way over to Scott, clutching onto his tank top and lifting him up so that the two are eye level. "Don't you dare speak to her like that, okay? Never again." Scott snarls at Duncan's threats, and I intervene before he does anything, "Duncan, just let go of him." He gives in and drops Scott back down onto the ground, giving him the biggest scowl I have ever seen.

"What do you want now Scott? Why are you here?" He squints his eyes, deviously, and slowly glides towards me, making me not only uncomfortable but nervous. "I came here to prove a point. I knew that something was going on between the two of you, and I just wanted to catch it in the act so that I can confirm everything that I have been feeling for the past couple of months."

He is now standing just inches away from me, gazing down at me. Duncan moves closer to where we are, just to monitor before pouncing. "You lied to me Court, you told me that you weren't with him, that you two were 'just friends'. I should've fucking known that this would happen. And after everything, after everything he did to you Court, you went running straight back into his arms when I was here for you the entire fucking time! You said you loved me Court! We were going to get married! I really didn't mean a single thing to you, did I? I don't even know why I bothered with you, because you never loved me back."
