Caffeine Problems

Here we go again, back at the streets of Hana. Walking. And walking..

I might just force myself to forget about that day I gave her the ring, but fate seems really rooting on the craziest love tandem that Louie and I have. I am happy. So happy that I would never, ever blame that Yael for seeing him genuinely happy for us too. Even I find it very clear what both of them had in the past.

Setting everything aside. I couldn't believe that finally, Louie Hana is wearing the damn gold.

"Ey, what was that?" I ask her straight in the eyes.

Louie opened her mouth and pressed her lips together as if there's a massive laugh in there that wasn't a great time to fire. She calms herself, rubbing her eyebrows with her index. "I had fun." She said. "We should do it more often."

I move. Wait a second. "More often what. Calling me fiance?" I leveled my face in front of her. "Did I actually ask you last night to be my fiance or I'm just too drunk and intoxicated that you took advantage of me?"

"You'll be surprised, Paulo. Of course if I would be given a chance to take advantage of someone, I'll do it. More really if someone is built like you."

"Louie. I'm more surprised that you find this conversation seriously." I replied. She's really having fun.

She laughs again and pushed me under the table. "Don't be ridiculous, of course you didn't ask me last night."

I'm being ridiculous... "Thank you for confirming." I placed my palm on my head and rubs it. The afternoon sun isn't now on its best and I sip on my coffee to relieve that stupidity we had. Or I had. Alone.

"Paulo— you actually did."

I turned to her and gulped the massive air that I supposed to cough out. Crap. I never dreamed of proposing to her while under that influence. Drunk? I would never. But, I guess if I'm too much absorbed by this kind of woman, who would not dare?

"You asked me if I want to feel unsafe and figure everything out with you 'till we don't know what to do next anymore. For the rest of my life."

"I did?"

"Yea, you knelt down too... You held my hand, placed it on your chest. You said, if you only have a descent ring with you, you'll wear it to me. But you still pulled your ring out from your finger and offered it."

"That's me."

Louie nods. "Pau, there's no need to be embarrassed by your actions last night. Whatever it is, I never been so happy in my life."

I wish I could remember how happy I made her. I wish I could see it right now. In her eyes.

"Hey.." Louie places her hand on top of mine, I can imagine everyone inside of this shop taking photos of us, or making conversations about us. But that's not Hana is. I closed my eyes and put my fingers on Louie's. I focus myself on her, and her alone. This isn't New York, and I am not facing a some other woman in my life. This is Louie.

"I"m sorry." I said, "I'm really sorry."

Louie's expression didn't changed a bit, she's still looking at me with care in her eyes. "Why?"

"You shouldn't be hearing all of that from a person who doesn't know what he's doing." I tell her. "It's not what you deserve. It's not how it should be."
