Any parent knew that helping their child get ready for school was a nightmare. It was the same for Kuroko.

"Kuroko-sama, please wake up," Hanako-san said in her usual polite tone of voice with no sign of emotion. Kuroko had already been awake, just lousing around to avoid going through hell.

Today was Atsushi, Daiki, Ryōta, Satsuki, Seijūrō, Senjūrō and Shintarō's first day of school. They had skipped pre-school and kindergarten like their older brother, Kuroko. Kuroko was already in his second grade of primary and was at the top of his class last year. He was still in Class 2-4 as he was last year, but hopefully, by his third grade in primary, he'd reach class 3-5.

Getting out of bed, Kuroko got ready by heading towards the bathroom. He backtracked to grab his uniform, which the maids had hung up by the bathroom door and headed in for a cold shower. Kuroko exited the bathroom with damp hair and his no-crease uniform. He quickly packed his bag and headed towards the West Wing.

He stopped in front of the twins' room, ready to go in. He debated whether or not should he wake up the most chaotic but light-sleepers first (Daiki and Ryōta), the deep-sleepers who were very lazy (Atsushi and Satsuki) or, the sleep-deprived ones (Seijūrō, Senjūrō and Shintarō). He finally decided to go wake up Daiki and Ryōta, hoping he wouldn't regret this decision. After all, Ryōta and Daiki had been dreading school as April had grown nearer.

He stopped at Daiki's door, fist ready to knock on the door. Deciding against it, he went back towards Atsushi's room and began the long process of getting ready for school. He knew trying to knock on the door would be useless, so he barged in. It was unlikely that Atsushi would be awake anyway.

As Kuroko had predicted, a mop of purple hair lying against a grey pillow. Atsushi was fast asleep without a care in the world. Kuroko grabbed the covers and threw them off, letting the cool spring air hit Atsushi's skin. "Atsushi-kun, please wake up," Kuroko said in a soft voice, shaking Atsushi. When the purple giant didn't move, Kuroko resulted to pinching his cheek. "Wake up, Atsushi-kun," Kuroko repeated, tone a little sharper. Atsushi responded with a low growl, trying to swat away Kuroko's still pinching hand. Kuroko dragged Atsushi out of bed by the cheek and kicked his leg. "Atsushi-kun." The giant bolted up.

"Gomen, Tetsu-chin, I'll go get ready now," Atsushi said, running towards the bathroom with his uniform in hand. Kuroko sighed, walking towards Satsuki's room.

Luckily, Satsuki was a little easier to wake up. She was ticklish, unlike Murasakibara, so Kuroko just opted to tickle her awake. "Tetsu-kun! I'll go get ready right away!" She said at his glare. Kuroko gave a stiff nod, disappearing using Misdirection. "I'll never get used to that," she murmured as she grabbed her uniform.

Aomine was luckily half-awake when Kuroko arrived. He was rubbing his eyes tiredly as he debated whether to go back to bed or get out. He didn't get the chance to decide when Kuroko popped up, Misdirection wearing off. "Daiki-kun, please get out of bed," Kuroko asked in his polite yet cold tone.

"H-Hai!" Daiki yelled, scrambling out of bed. Kuroko facepalmed himself when he saw Daiki ran out without grabbing his uniform. He grabbed the uniform and followed Daiki towards the bathroom. He thrust the uniform into Daiki's arms with a sigh, heading over to who could be the hardest to get out of bed.

Ryōta.

To anyone passing by, they would've described the scene as wreaking havoc. Kuroko was currently tackling Kise onto the floor, trying to persuade him into getting ready for school. Ryōta, on the other hand, was trying desperately to get Kuroko off of him so he could hide under the bed and never come out again. Physically, Kuroko was winning since Kise was underneath him, pinned. Mentally, Ryōta had the upper hand since Kuroko wanted nothing more than to die in a ditch and never have to do this again. Alas, he would be doing this every day for the next 3? 6? 9? 12 years of school?
