Ages: Kuroko, 7, Akashi twins, 6
∞Kuroko found it amusing that the twins rarely fought. Each time they did, it was always interesting to watch. Sometimes the fights are on small things like who was the better twin. Sometimes, it was fighting over academics and sport. Either way, their quarrels were always amusing.
Today was the day they got back their midterm tests. Both Akashis were competing for first in their grade (Kuroko thinks it's just for bragging rights, but there was something else that the twins desired). Kuroko was ok with his. The scores were above average. But if he kept it like this, forget about joining Class 3-5 next year. As for Japanese Literature, Math and English, Bs for everything else except PDHPE. He got a C for that. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't athletic. They should blame his stupid body for being fragile. If Kuroko hadn't been doing basketball, he was sure that his physical points would be a lot lower, probably a C-.
Kuroko knew that the twins would get straight As, but the question was, who got the most points? Kuroko was leaning more towards Senjūrō at the moment, but Seijūrō could prove him wrong. Senjūrō was more of the academic twin while Seijūrō prefered athletics. Even so, they had the Akashi smarts. Either way, Kuroko would give them head pats as well as the others. Kuroko doesn't (most of the time anyway) play favouritism.
"Kurokocchi!" Kise yelled as he and Aomine ran towards their older brother. Outside their house, they referred to each other by their last names. It was just a habit of Kuroko's to call everyone by their last names. Kuroko watched as the blond and bluenette stopped in front of him, flashing their test scores at him. They had both gotten a solid C for every subject. Kuroko gave them both a head-pat and a small smile.
"Good job, Kise-kun, Aomine-kun." The two glowered under Kuroko's gaze, making the older want to crack up. Murasakibara walked towards him, holding up his Cs and Bs. Like Kise and Aomine, he gave the taller a head-pat (and maybe chocolate). "Good job, Murasakibara-kun." He turned towards Momoi, who was running towards them, Midorima walking behind her.
"Tetsu-kun!" She yelled, hugging his legs (even though she was tall enough to hug him by the waist). Kuroko gave her a head-pat and checked her scores. Cs and Bs. Kuroko had a feeling Midorima was the same. When the tsundere had finally made it to them, he checked his scores (Bs and As).
"Good job, Midorima-kun, Momoi-san." Midorima looked away, pushing up his glasses with his free hand while Momoi grinned. "Now, Seijūrō and Senjūrō..."
"I'm placing my bets on Seijūrō!" Kise yelled, turning towards Aomine. "Two chocolate bars!"
"If we're betting food, I'm in. Two umaibo bars on Senjūrō," Murasakibara cut in. Kuroko internally sighed.
"If you're going to make a betting pool, give me your stuff." Kise and Murasakibara handed Kuroko their snacks, Aomine adding in 200 yen.
"What? I'm broke. Also, that's for Seijūrō." Midorima dropped in another 500 yen.
"Senjūrō." Kuroko shrugged, putting in 1000.
"Tie," he challenged.
The six waited for the infamous twins to arrive. "They sure are taking their time..." Kise said. Momoi hummed in agreement.
"I want to see how this bet will end! Even though I'm not participating, I still want to know!" Finally, the two redheads walked out, glaring daggers at each other. The two then ran towards Kuroko and the others.
"Nii-san!" the two yelled, flashing their scores. As expected, both of them had straight As. Kuroko smiled and gave him his famous head-pats.
"Good job, Akashi-kun, Akashi-kun," Kuroko joked. The twins scowled at the last names. "I'm kidding, Sei-kun, Sen-kun."
As Kuroko went through the scores, he noticed that it had indeed been a tie. "Looks like I won the bet," Kuroko said towards his younger siblings. They all pouted, but Kuroko was going to give back their stuff anyway. For now, he'll just stay superior while the Akashi twins looked at them annoyed.
"You had a bet to see who would win?" Senjūrō asked. Kuroko nodded.
"Kise-kun and Aomine-kun voted that Seijūrō would get the most marks. Murasakibara-kun and Midorima-kun voted Senjūrō. I voted that it would be a tie and Momoi-san didn't participate.
Kuroko walked away, dragging along the other children as the Akashi twins squabbled in the background about who was the superior twin. Kuroko just sighed under his breath and told Kise to give everyone back their bets.
