Taylor's POV:
The trespassers started to knock on the door when they realized it was locked. Joe gave one last kiss on my forehead and went outside the closet and closed It's door behind him.
Shit! This was really happening. I curved myself into a ball and sat on the ground as the banging noises turned ear deafening.
I heard the door finally being knocked down and then smashing and grunting noises filled the entire room. My hands shook as I realized Joe might be hitting them or they might be hitting him.
I creaked the closet door open just a little bit so I could see what was actually happening. And I was surprised to see that Joe was actually beating the hell out of both the men with the golf club.
That's my man!
I waited for the right opportunity to run for the door and go downstairs so I could call the cops.
Joe took a few blows but he was still in the lead despite it being one against two. They were huge bulky men who seemed to have come after my throat. And they would have gotten to me if I had been alone in the house. That thought sent a shiver down my spine.
I saw one of the men punch Joe in the face as the other tried to steal the golf club from him. They were further away from the door so I took that as an opportunity to dash towards it.
I opened the closet and ran towards the bedroom door and made it out. One of the men looked towards my direction as I was running.
I had to hurry!
I reached the stairs but before I could start descending, the man grabbed me from my hair and pulled me back. It felt like spikes in my head and I grunted in pain.
Joe kicked the other man and he rolled out of the room then Joe ran towards my direction when he saw the man gripping my hair.
"You cunt!" Joe grabbed his hair and slammed his head into the wall. "Go!" Joe spoke as the second one started to come towards our direction.
I ran downstairs and went over to the counter looking for my phone. Just then Joe and both the men fell down the stairs in a heap and mess.
They just weren't ready to give up the fight even after getting beat up badly.
I unlocked my phone with a thudding heart and just then the man got up and came towards my direction. He knocked the phone out of my hand and I backed up against the counter. I quickly grabbed the small plant pot sitting on the counter and threw it at him. It hit him in the chest and he grunted.
I looked over and saw Joe on the ground trying to fight off the man on top of him. He had also lost his golf club.
I grabbed the phone from the ground and ran because I knew I couldn't fight them off, I just needed time to call the cops. But the man wasn't in any mood to let me get away.
"Okay enough of this game!" I stopped in my tracks when I saw him take a gun out from behind him. "I didn't wanna use it but you've left me no choice." He aimed the gun at me. "I have to finish the job one way or the other." He said.
The job? Assigned by who? I knew the answer before my mind finished asking the question.
Scooter Braun.
"He said it was going to be an easy task. But we didn't know he was going to be here." He said looking at Joe's direction who was fighting the bulky man on top of him.
