chapter 11

third person pov:

the next two weeks went by in a flash and before they knew it, it was already the last couple days of the trip.

it was the day before mashiho's birthday and two days before their departure back home.

as usual, haewon was sleeping in mashiho's arms with hyunsuk sleeping in his bed a short distance away. this was how the couple had been the entire trip. every night either haewon or mashiho would sneak into the other's bed and sleep comfortably in each other's arms. despite the fears in the beginning, the two mastered the art of sneaking around so that no one would find out.

it was just half past 7 when haewon started stirring around in bed. turning to check her phone, she immediately laid back down seeing how early it was. this movement caused mashiho to also awaken, seeing haewon's face in despair for having missed a couple more minutes of sleep.

"good morning."

upon hearing his voice, haewon turned around and smiled before replying with a quick "good morning" as well.

they laid together for just a few extra minutes before they saw hyunsuk toss and turn on his bed.

"he's probably gonna be up soon. i should get going." haewon spoke as a visible frown came on mashiho's face.

"a few more minutes?" he asked.

"as tempting as that sounds, i can't. i have some things to do today so i should go start my day."

mashiho nodded and gave her one last peck on the forehead before she headed out of the room once again.

as soon as she left, he looked towards hyunsuk to see that he was also waking up.

probably a good thing she left when she did

"morning, hyung"

"morning shiho" hyunsuk flashed him his signature eye smile and headed to their bathroom.

after the two were done getting themselves ready for the day, they walked out to the living room to see haewon and ahyoung sitting on the couch together.

"oh! morning ahyoung, haewon." hyunsuk exclaimed.

"morning oppa, shiho" haewon had replied, slyly giving mashiho a grin in which he returned with a discreet wink towards her.

the two took a seat next to ahyoung before she asked, "are you hungry? we can make breakfast before the kids get up."

the other three nodded in agreement before they made their way to the kitchen.

the groceries, however, were running thin. having been here for almost two weeks, it was no surprise that the refrigerator and pantry were close to empty.

it was then decided that they would make their nth trip to the grocery store since they arrived in jeju.

"hyunsuk and i can go while you prepare what we do have." ahyoung spoke, eyeing mashiho and haewon.

without much complaint, the two nodded and hyunsuk and ahyoung quickly made their way out.

"alright, well we have cereal, eggs, leftover fried rice from yesterday, and some fruits."

"not much to work with" they laughed.

"let's just make the eggs and heat up the rice and figure everything out when they get home." haewon suggested, receiving a nod from mashiho.

it took the pair about 15 minutes to finish microwaving the rice and making 4 plates of eggs.

giving hyunsuk a call, mashiho asked if they were done but to no luck, the two grocery shoppers were gonna take at least another 30 minutes.
