Back to Ian's POV

'What in the world is going on?' I thought, taking in the scene in front of me. All of my friends were holding weapons, facing us.

"Wh-what's g-going on?" Asked Seto. He must be just as confused as I am, and just as scared as well. Jerome heard his question, and I didn't like the answer. "We know your secret, both of you." Wut.  "Ty here found out, so don't mess with us." His voice was one of an angry god. My world was collapsing around me. 'Ty? How could you?' I glanced towards Seto, praying for an answer. One was given to me, but in a way I honestly did not expect. Seto closed him eyes, I assumed he was doind some spell. I was right. His voice could soon be heard in my head. It was fast, but clearly.

Okay, Ian, keep calm. They could be either talking about magic and derp, or they could be talking about our secret agent charade. The spy thing would explain why Adam is scared, because he is defending his amulet, but he could also be prepairing to take it off, to help fight Derp. He already knows about my magic, but noone else does. Either way, we need to run. Follow me. I'll teleport us away once we are far enough away, and they can't see us. Got it?

I was surprised, but hey, he is a sorcerer. I nodded, whoopes. Jerome spoke again, his voice still booming. "Do not move. We want you to explain everything."

Go!

We ran, the others not far away. Through the house, up and down stairs, until Seto led me into a bathroom with a sharp and sudden turn. Then, before I cold register what was happening, he grabbed my shoulder, and we were back in the basement.

I shook my head and sat on the floor, dizzy and nauseus. Seto looked just as nauseus as I felt, but he toughed it out and walked towards an empty wall. With a wave of his hand, a door appeared, and he walked through. I followed close behind, with little trouble getting off the floor. The door disappeared behind me, startling me at first, but I relaxed. Looking around the hidden room, it looked like a giagantic spell room, complete with a cauldron, altar, and circles. There were shelves upon shelves covered with books, mostly aincient, though some fairly new. The room was a bit of a mess, but Seto cast another spell, and all of the books went back where they belonged. The sorcerer b-lined towards the cauldron and began on a potion immidietly. I sat down on the chair in front of a desk and rested. Eventually I did get bored, and curiousity got the best of me.

"Seto, what are ya making dude?" I interupted.

"A potion of trust and beleif." He answered breifly.

"So are you gonna try to convince them of our innocence?" I asked, trying to get a conversation started, but Seto wasn't having it.

"Yes." He spat, trying to focus.

I wanted to try one last time. "So why does Adam know about your magic?" Bad idea.

"Reasons, okay?!" He burst, almost smashing a bottle. "If you don't stop, I will test how well my spell worked on you, and if Derp is still there." I didn't want that, so I kept quiet. "Thank you." He sighed, and went back to work.

Time Skip to Potion Completion

"Done!" Seto exlaimed, sighing.

"Finally! That took ages!" I responded, standing up.

"It wasn't even five minutes." He sassed.

"Yah yah yah whatever, let's just go do this." I spoke with a wave of my hand, turning away.

"Ian, wait." Seto called, worryingly. I froze, already knowing what he was going to say.

"Derp is gone Seto, don't worry about him." I reassured him, forcing a laugh. It didn't work.

"Then you shouldn't have anything to worry about." He spoke calmly, as if he was speaking to a wild animal. I nodded slowly. "Good, follow me."

He lead me to a door that looked like it was from a high security prison. It didn't have a doorknob, or a lock for that matter. It was just a door. He placed his hand on it, whispering something, and the door creaked open. "Go in." He commanded, and I hesitantly complied. Inside of the room was pure white, yet pitch black. It was all completely padded, with a wooden chair in the center. I sat down, and couldn't move, as if there were invisible chains binding me to the chair. Seto walked into the room and stood in front of me.

"Ready?" He asked. I nodded, swallowing. 'C'mon Ian, it'll be fine.' I tried to convince myself, but to no avail. Seto removed my glasses and stood back. I tensed up, preparing myself for the worst, but no pain came. Relaxing, I looked up at Seto. He was relieved, but a spike of pain struck my head, causing his relief to be replaced by worry. The pain was unbearable. I screamed, and screamed, louder than I ever had before. I swore my eyes were on fire and I was going to vomit out my lungs. Instead of just red, black shared the fault of my vision clouding. I writhed around in my chair, chains ripping at my flesh. Pain, blood, and darkness were the last thing I saw, all framing the look of terror on Seto's face.
