?'s POV

I was tired, scared, and confused. Slowly, I walked up the stairs, out of Seto's chamber, and towards the door. There was a grey mist seeping from under it, but the noise at the other side of the door was too compelling for me not to want to see. It opened with a creak, but no one seemed to notice, and I can't blame them. They all just stood there, seemingly frozen in the mist. All except for two. One was caring for the other, who looked rather injured.

I heard a strange noise coming from my left. It was him, the one who killed me. Now he looked even more terrifying, and he had my friend in his clutches.

"Hey, Derp!" I heard someone yell. Looking over, I saw it was Adam. "Take me instead, you fat lard!"

Sub was dropped immediately, and Adam was next. Derp moved quickly towards my brave friend, prepared to take his life. Watching his fate unravel in the most unfortunate way, I looked around the room. Jason was tending to Seto's wounds, Mitch and Jerome were taking care of a half dead Sub, and Ty just stood blank faced, frozen in both fear and guilt. After all, every thing is his fault.

I was just... standing here... watching my friend die.

Wait...

Adams life is being drained.

What if... I...

Derp will finish us.

Maybe.... well, I'll try.

I crept across the room, not wanting Derp to hear me, and brandished myself a sword, made completely of blood. Time to coat blood in blood.

Adam's POV

"Hey Derp!" I yelled, prepared to sacrifice myself for my friend. "Take me instead, you fat lard!"

Sub was dropped immediately, and I knew who was next. Derp moved quickly towards me. I didn't move. It was a worthy sacrifice.

His clammy hands wrapped themselves around my throat, taking my ability to breathe. I really hope some one will stop Derp. I don't want to die, but more than that, I don't want my friends to. Sometimes just one second of distraction can save a life. But WHEW, what a way to die. Sacrificing yourself to your friend who is, like, possessed by a demon or something so that your friends can live.

Sky, you've served the world well.

I closed my eyes, accepting death with open arms.

I could just feel myself slipping away, when Derp dropped me onto the floor with a squeal. I opened my eyes to see the demon on the floor with a red sword in his back, blood everywhere. I couldn't believe my eyes when I recognised the man holding the sword.

"Q-quentin?!" I coughed up both words and blood. "You're alive?!"

He pulled out the sword and looked down at his kill, sighing. "I'm sorry dude. I really didn't want you to die." The reincarnation of my friend held Derp's cold head in his hand. After a moment he looked back at me, and responded. "Yah, I'm not dead. I should be, but I'm not."

"How?!" I asked, really wanting to know.

"Well, I woke up in Seto's lab, so maybe he resurrected me?" Quentin answered as he sat down next to me. It looks like he knows as much as I do. A voice came from the other side of the room.

"I had been draining my magic ever since the accident, putting it all to use on him." Spoke the now healthier Seto. "That technique is as old as time, but I'm the first sorcerer it has ever worked for."
