~Hope's P.O.V.~

Carlos and I haven't talked since the fight we had. I was expecting him to come up to me first but it's been two weeks. Graduation is in two days. Jake's surgery is in two days. There is so much on my mind and I soon found myself stressed out. I was grumpy and moody and talked back to Isabel the whole week. She screamed and I screamed back, earning a slap to my face. I slapped her back and she was bewildered. That's how the whole week went by and now it was Friday and graduation was tomorrow. I walk to the hospital and don't even bother going to the front desk. I walk into the room where Jake is. The doctors are about to put him in a deep sleep to prepare for the surgery tomorrow morning.

" I love you, Jake." I say in a soft voice.

" I love you,too Hope." he says in a weak voice.

" Everything is going to be alright. Right after the graduation I will come in here to see you to see how the surgery went." I say but I know everything was not alright and he probably knows it to.

The doctors interrupts us and says " We need to get ready for the surgery."

" Okay" I say. I wave at him and he waves back.

I about to cry. I need to get away from all of this. I walk to the bar near my house. I need a drink so I don't have to think about all my problems. I walk inside.

" Would you like a drink?" says the bar tender.

" Yes. A beer please" I say.

I usually don't get drinks. I had one once and I was 16. I was house sitting and curious so I took a sip out of an open bottle. It was so bitter and strong. I threw up in the bathroom about 5 minutes later.  The bar tender comes back with a tall glass of beer. I drink it in small sips because it is very bitter. I finish my beer. One big belch comes comes out of my mouth. I cover my mouth and say " Excuse me " .

I start to watch the people dancing and get another drinking. I look at the door for awhile and two people come in. A boy and a girl.
