The men standing in the doorway are cops. I see Carlos's eyes widen because he probably thought he was going to get deported but they probably wouldn't send him back to Mexico in critical condition. They put Sabrina in handcuffs and say " You're under arrest for attempting to kill a person by poisoning them."
"That wasn't me" she said. "Why would I do that to my boyfriend? " I look at Carlos and he looks shocked. He was probably wondering why a sweet innocent looking girl would poison his drink.
" You're fingerprints were on the cup" he said.
" It must have been a mistake" she says.
Ugh. She is so stupid. The cops ignore her.
"Wait" says Carlos in a weak voice. Everyone freezes. " Why did you do it?" he says.
" I did it because you rejected me for that." She pointed at me."I mean I had money, popularity, and I could have given you anything you wanted but you still chose her. I was so angry " she says.
No matter how hard she tries to pull away from the cops they don't let her go. The cops take her away and she leaves. Now is the moment. I need to tell him how I feel.
" Carlos, I.." I say but the nurse interrupts me.
" We need you to leave Carlos alone for about an hour. He needs to get his medicine and the doctor needs to check him." she says.
" See you later." he says. I wave at him.
I decide to go to the room where Jake is. I knock on the door but there is no answer. He is probably sleeping. I take and walk. Then I get some lunch to eat. I ate at Carlos's favorite restaurant, Juan's tacos. I decide that when I come back from lunch I will tell him how I feel. I don't care if he doesn't like me back then I will know that he truly doesn't deserve me and that I should move on. This time I will tell him confidently without any interruptions or fear.
