"So what's that like now ya boy home?" Jay asked as we sat down. We were inside Chuck E. Cheese for the billionth time this year. It seemed to be the kids favorite spot.

"It's really weird like he's there but he ain't. He spends times with the kids for a bit and then he's gone out the door. It didn't take long for his old ways to appear running shit."

"Y'all talked about what happened?"

I looked away on purpose, "No and at this point he hasn't brought it up and neither should I."

"Now Asia it's clear as day that is not gone work. You gotta put the bullshit aside and figure it out."

"He knows he's his so that's that. If ain't about to question what the hell happened neither am I."

He stared at me a little longer than usual then turned as Angel walked up.

"I want some more pizza."

I reached over and grabbed her a slice, then sat it on the plate.

"Here you go, boo," I sat it in front of her.

"Thank you Ms. Asia."

"You're welcome. But I don't know Jay. I'm just going with the flow," I said turning back towards him.

"You don't want that to come up later and add more damage to what's already been done. That's only gone make things worse."

I chuckled, "Can it get any worse than what it already is?"

I was stressed over everything and not even 2+2 was equaling 4. Everything to just felt like it was too much and I didn't have the mental capacity to even give thought to dealing with it.

"Man, chill out," Jay said.

I looked up from the table I was aimlessly staring at to him. He gave me a blank stare like he was standing ten toes down on what he said.

"You have never told me to just chill out."

"You making life more complicated than what it need to be."

"Which is how because I'm suppose to bow down to him because he's home now?," I huffed.

"I never even mentioned him in that. I'm talking about you my girl. You the one making it more difficult then what it has to be. No one said to bow down to anybody. Just do what you can and let the rest be what it is. That's all I'm saying. But part of doing what you can is saying some. You can't control his take on it but you can state yours and let the chips fall how they may."

I rolled my eyes. It annoyed me at times on how right he could be.

"I guess," I simply said still trying to be in denial at the moment.

He chuckled, "You a trip man."

I sighed, rolling my eyes. I just had to get everything out the way and lay it all out. That was so easier said than done for me. I didn't know how to approach it. I knew I had to say something tho or nothing would ever move forward like it should.

"What's up with you?" Chris casually spoke as he walked back inside the house.

"Hey," I mumbled, "Can we talk?" I asked following him to the kitchen.

He grabbed a drink from the fridge and popped it open.

"What's up?"

I toyed with my fingers trying to figure out what to say. I huffed.

"Look... I know I haven't been the easiest person to getting along with and I know things have been weird...."

He nodded his head, "Yeah, I ain't been the best either."
