I couldn't believe I was standing here inside a club. I felt so out of place just being in the room. I sat on the sofa with my arms crossed and heels tapping against the floor, although it wasn't heard due to the music.

I was dressed in a two piece powder blue set- a halter top and the matching pants. It was cute and clung just right. T had some nice quality clothing. She put my hair into two ninja buns. I was dressed for the part however I could tell I hadn't been in this type of environment in forever.

"I'm about to go to the bar. Anybody want something?" T asked getting.

"I'll go too," I said getting up. Alisha was talking with some guy she knew. She said he was cool, but my trust wasn't fully there with her yet to take her word for it. Of course, whatever that thing with her and my brother came to mind but it wasn't my issue to press on the matter. Their interaction did seem harmless however, it's none of my business anyway.

I followed T down to the bar and we stood at it waiting for the bartender to come over our way. T looked around the room as we waited.

"Ah, shit," she mumbled sounding annoyed.

"What's up?" I questioned.

"My damn baby daddy."

Just as soon as the words excepted her lips I heard the familiar voice, "Oh so this where you spending all my money at?" He asked.

I turned to look and to my surprise it was Jah. I haven't seen him since after Chris was locked up.

"What you doing here?" T asked rolling her eyes.

"What's up?... Damn. It's been a minute," Jah said clearly just noticing me.

"It has," I commented back.

I didn't have any ill feelings towards him but it was shakey for me. Anyone attached to Chris wasn't labeled as bad but just placed in the unsure category.

"I just talked to Chris yesterday. I'm glad my boy is in good spirits," he said.

"Definitely."

I left it at that and walked back towards the section gave up on the bartender coming over to us.

"I'm really ready to go," I mumbled.

"So soon?" I heard a familiar voice say.

I turned to look and saw Jay. I glanced at him from bottom to top. He was dressed clean as hell with little bling this time.

"This isn't my thing anymore," I shrugged.

"Maybe I help change that for the night," he spoke so smoothly, keeping his eyes locked on mine.

I smirk at him and then caught myself. This shit felt  too familiar and was taking me back to place I wasn't trying to explore. Hell naw. I couldn't tell what it was about him that had me at ease. I was supposed to have my guard around him but it was hard.

"Just get out your head Asia. Dance with me," he said.

He grabbed my hand before I had a chance to respond and we walked to the middle of the dance floor. His hands rested on my waist.
