These past few days have been different. It was literally like a roller coaster. I was good one day and felt like shit the next.

"So what you think?"

"I feel like maybe he genuinely does care. I been checked his background since you was talking about play dates and his shit is legit. He might be forreal."

"That's the problem with this game, you never know if it's really real." I sighed.

Tyler shrugged, "Whats up with that anyway? I thought Dom said keep some distance?"

I rolled my eyes hearing Dom's name, "Nothing is up, we're just hanging out with the kids. I ran into him way before this shit even started. Dom is just being Dom."

"Just proceed with caution Asia. I don't feel like coming out of retirement for a night."

The phone beeped telling me I had another call. I laughed, "Ima call you back Tyler. Ima come get the kids in a lil bit too."

I clicked over, "What's up?"

"I'm outside, open the door."

What have I told this girl about popping up over here? I huffed and walked over the door.

"Me and T been calling you!" She said as soon as she walked through the screen door.

"Been busy, my bad," I mumbled.

"T was going through inventory and she sent this," Alisha said, sitting a big ass box on the floor, "Girl I talked to Mon finally.... Well I mean like are you open to even hearing about that?"

I chuckled, "Girl I don't care about that shit with y'all two. Bring this box to the living room."

We moved to the living room. I sat on the sofa and she sat on the recliner chair across from me. The moment almost felt like old times. We've came far as hell because a year ago the only way she was going to be in my presence was if I was dragging her up and down this street by her hair.

She began to talk, "Okay so, after he finally was ready to hear me out, we talked it all out. He admitted to the shit he did, I did the same and now it's all water under the bridge."

"Sounds toxic."

"Shit, lowkey is, but I'm happy as hell to have his ass back... I'm really sorry I didn't say anything back then again," she added.

I shrugged, "Alisha, I don't care about it anymore so you don't have to apologize anymore like ever. I get it."

"I got you. So what's up with you? We saw you leaving out with Jay." She smirked as she looked at me.

"You know Jay?" I questioned with a side-eye.

She looked as if her eyes would pop out her head, "Who doesn't know him?!? That nigga is the biggest nigga up right now. Well he been up for a nice lil minute he just lowkey with his shit."

My brow raised from her response, "What you mean by that?"

"He lowkey as hell. He move in silence forreal. Basically the opposite of your brothers and what Rock was. His circle, his niggas like all that shit is exclusive as hell."

"Mhm," I hummed leaning forward about to go through the box of clothes.

"That's you now or something?"
