WRITING THE PROLOGUE

After plotting everything, after creating a strong foundation for your story, this part will be the hardest step in writing your own fictional novel. You are presented with a blank page and that is scary for a first time writer- even for amateurs.

This part will act as an open door to your main plot. A prologue will make the reader to catch a glimpse of what's gonna happen unto your entire story so better be careful in giving context.

So what will you do?

How are you able to write it in a right way?

TAKE NOTE:
- first draft will always be messy but don't be scared, write and write and don't edit yet. Just write.

Readers will always decide whether they'll continue reading through the prologue. It's a hop or drop situation. This is the part where they will decide of your novel is worth to try.

But hey, I am here to help you okay?

This may be the hardest part but I am here to give you enough ideas to leash out the capacity you have within.

IDEA 01 - GIVE THEM A PIECE OF ACTION

Does your story include a badass character? Does he gets into fight? Then serve it fresh!

Actions keeps the reader pump up especially if you describe it well. (Check WritersPhAction for more info. Link: https://www.wattpad.com/user/WritersPHAction)
Serving them fist and kicks will make them curious and asks themselves "Why did this happen?" "Why is he/she/they like this?" and will continue reading till they get unto the main plot of your story.

Considering the fact that people finds it sexy *winks*

IDEA 02 - GIVE THEM A BACKGROUND

If you already plotted your novel and already have a list of characters then how about a throwback? Give them a throwback.

This works for the main lead. Let's put that he/she/they gives a little off attitude. What caused that? What makes he/she/they off the vibe?

Is it a childhood trauma?
Is it because of an ex? a friend?
Did he/she/they lost someone?

Write it.

IDEA 03 - VOICE

Start with a dialogue.

This may be an overrated start but writing a dialogue will give the reader an idea on what character are they reading. They'll be introduced with a character's thought that will affect their experience.

The dialogue must make them fall in love with your character.

How is that possible?

Here are some hindrances that you should avoid
- too much filler
- not using the correct punctuation
- bland said (you can use, excitedly, insinuated, cried, stifled for more emotions)
- creating the same voice. (Be careful. Each characters must be distinct from each other)

AFFIRMATION:
- In order to see changes, you need to act. Your highest level can wait so take it with small steps. Little is better than nothing. Take care of your soul and physical realm. Feed it with balance. Look at your life and find balance in all aspects and areas.
