TENTH TIP: LEARN STRONG CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT TECHNIQUES
Learn strong character development techniques. There are effective ways to create a character arc in literature. Learn what character information to reveal to increase tension in your story. Your main characters should have a backstory that informs their actions, motivations, and goals. Determine what point of view (POV)—first person or third person—complements the character’s interpretation of events.
Of course as a writer we need to know when we gonna reveal these type of attitude or the back story of the characters. This is one of the techniques to make the readers eager to continue reading your story. You should always make them hanging or waiting for the next update.
This is one of the best techniques that some authors do because it capture the attention of the readers.
For Example, there was a scene that the female lead character saw what the male lead character is hiding or she saw the reason why the male lead character is acting that way. You will end the chapter with just the reaction of the female lead character and continue the scene on the other chapter. So that the readers will still read and wait for your update because they are eager to know why the female lead reacts in that way.
This is one of the best technique to learn.
