part 9 Queen's lie

I wanted silence for a while so I moved away from it.

for a while I was angry with him. I don't think he was telling the truth. Because no one would like to go through a forest full of dangerous animals in the middle of the night. I am not a fool to not notice him lying to me.

He could have taken another route or waited for the morning to come.

I still remember that night I didn't see a man. I don't know what it was, but it had wings. And he is a human he doesn't have wings.

Is he hiding something from me?

And while thinking all of this.....
I saw my face in the water.
The same face that has been persecuted so much, the same face that no one will recognize anymore, not even me.

I slowly kneel down on the grass and sat beside the river. "Is this really me?" Since when the last time I had checked my face in mirror?

It only used to be a quick cleaning with wet towel, quick face wash, quickly bun, pony in hairs, quick oiling, quickly changing clothes because I have to work..... Everything has become so quick in palace that I had almost forgot to even take a time for myself.

And a part of me used to like that. Because since mother had died, the work was the only thing which used to help me avoid feeling lonely anymore, it was the only thing with was helping me to cut my time more quickly then before. But in all that I had almost lost the chance to work for myself too.

Almost....

Because now I am not in the palace anymore. I am not working for the queen. So now I have a option, a will to chose myself or others.

And this time. I will chose myself.

The queen was sitting in her room drinking her favorite syrup.

In the stillness of the dark night, there was sudden opening of the door, and with that her most trusted old knight comes in.

He stand infront of the her, kneels down in respect first then stand up. "My queen."

The queen removes the cup from her lips calmly and says, "oh!sebios, my decades of brave and strong knight. come on, sit" she invited him to the seats with a wave of her hand where the royal guests sit with her.

But sebios knew the cost of it so he spoke in low but clear voice. "No, I am fine your highness." His eyes remain on the floor.

"So now you know your place?" Says the queen, her topic suddenly changes so as her voice. "then you will also remember that before that, you used to sweep in our palace? I was the first one who notice your passion and loyalty that's why why I made you my knight. And you should consider yourself lucky because I selected you. Otherwise you were from a place where you had never actually had any chances to gain this mush respect which you are getting right now. I chose you so you can come with me in this magnificent palace. And get a higher position........
You most know that when the princess marry and travel to her new home, she bring her loyal soldiers and maids with her. And I chose you out of them, then it didn't take to long before I convinced the king and made you his minister.......

Now.... You must know how I knew your qualifications?"

"Yes I know exactly I had never come without your kindness my queen" Sebios said, his gaze never raising.

"Absolutely, and it will tell you how good I am at examining people's talent. I knew you'll be useful for this position just like I also knows who was behind my king's death."

Sebios fell silent in surprise. It was in his mind that if the queen knew the cause of the king's death,then why was she telling me first?

Sebios froze like a stone. He can't believe on his ears. His queen, the one who saw the hidden inside him, the one who always had a talent on knowing the secrets was telling him that she have found out who was behind the king's murder.

"Who do it?" Sebios asked. Finally raising his eyelashes up to meet her eyes. "who is behind the king's death my queen tell me." His hand clunch on his sword on his hip as he take few steps ahead.  "Tell me who do you think can do that to our king?  I'll drag him to you right here, right now....

"Your daughter"

"What!!" Sebios eyes widin.

"Yes." She leaned down and smirked to him. "can you believe that? Your daughter killed my husband." The queen said this, after which Sebios tried hard to convince her because he knew she can't do that

"Queen, you must have got any misunderstanding,  She loved him very much. She never had anything to hate him for, she had only love, filled in her heart for him. She even love him more then me."

"That love was not the one you are thinking sebios. That love you are saying she had was not with him but from my sun." Queen said in the middle of Sebios's talk."she knew that after the king, it was all Mike's so why not pretend to love him and then take his life too and love with his wealth and power with her little family."
