In palace.
After Zerbadum's death Mike had locked himself away in his chambers, refusing to come out or speak to anyone. he had become withdrawn and melancholic.
Zerbadum was not just any ordinary horse; he was the last gift from Mike's late father, the king. The prince had spent countless hours riding through the palace gardens and exploring the vast kingdom with his loyal companion by his side.
The queen had always been overprotective of her son, fearing for his safety in the outside world. So when Mike defied her orders and ventured outside the palace walls with his horse, she saw it as a betrayal of her trust. In a fit of rage, she ordered the guards to execute Zerbadum, breaking the prince's heart in the process.
His grief was overwhelming, and he felt a deep emptiness in his soul without his faithful companion by his side.
Queen on the other hand, was as cunning and manipulative as they come. She enjoyed throwing extravagant celebrations and feasts in the palace, always making sure to show off her wealth and power. So when she heard that it was her son's birthday, she saw it as the perfect opportunity to further assert her dominance over him.
With a smile on her face and a false sense of maternal care, she entered Mike's room.
Queen: Good morning, my son. How was your sleep?
she asked, drawing back the curtains to flood the room with sunlight. But Mike did not respond, his grief too heavy to bear.
Queen: You know what? Tomorrow is a big day for you my child
the queen continued, her voice dripping with insincerity."tomorrow is your birthday!"
The queen smiled happily, "now get ready. We have a lot of work to do."
Despite his reluctance, Mike knew he had no choice but to obey his mother's wishes. He couldn't risk angering her further, not with the power she wielded.
As he got ready, he felt a deep sense of sadness and betrayal. He couldn't understand how his mother could take away the one thing that brought him joy and solace in his darkest hours.
How can someone be that cruel to kill the horse and force his owner to eat it without his will.
He have gone into every kind of torture which he don't even deserve.
Queen: Good... Don't disappoint me this time.
she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. Mike felt a surge of anger and resentment towards his mother, but he knew he couldn't take revenge just yet. He needed to make a plan first. Everything takes time.
As soon as the queen left her son's room, she quickly changed into her royal attire and set off to tend to her duties.
Tomorrow was a special day, as it was her son, Prince Mike's birthday. The queen was determined to make it a grand celebration, fitting for a prince.
Queen: now hurry up. Bring me the chefs of the palace. Hurry up.
The queen ordered everyone to stick with their duties, the palace buzzed with activity as the queen directed her servants to decorate every inch of the palace and organize the goods for the celebration.
She was known for throwing extravagant celebrations and feasts, and her son's birthday was no exception. The queen's eyes sparkled with excitement as she imagined the festivities that would take place the next day.
As the preparations were underway, the queen decided to add a unique twist to the celebration. She instructed her manager to send out invitations to all the kingdoms, including her previous kingdom on her father's side. She wanted to ensure that everyone had the chance to celebrate her son's special day.
In a moment of whimsy, the queen also decided to change the dressing code for the celebration. She ordered that all guests wear different, unique masks. This would add an air of mystery and intrigue to the festivities, creating an atmosphere of fantasy and wonder.
The queen's orders were to be executed with precision and speed. She was known for her strictness and had a low tolerance for any delays or excuses. It was well understood in the palace that she did not like to hear the word 'no' from anyone, and everyone was expected to fulfill her orders without question.
As the palace buzzed with activity, the servants whispered amongst themselves.
"Do you think the prince was asked to organize his own birthday celebration?" one maid asked another. The other maid shook her head."I doubt it. The queen doesn't like to ask for permission. She just gives orders and expects them to be followed."
The first maid nodded in agreement. "I also heard that she changed the dress code for the guests."
The other maid looked intrigued. "Really? What did she change it to?"
"She ordered everyone to wear unique masks," the first maid replied.
Meanwhile, the prince was lost in his thoughts as he explored the palace gardens. He was well aware that his mother's elaborate celebrations were merely for show. He felt like a puppet in her grand schemes, devoid of any genuine love or affection from her. When he overheard the maids talking about the mask requirement for the guests, an idea sparked in his mind.
Rushing back to his chambers, the prince penned a handwritten letter to a someone. He attached the letter to a pigeon and sent it flying off into the distance.
Seeing him leaving from the window his eyes brightened. And he smiled a little, hopping it will reach to the right person.
Now the only thing he needed to do is wait.
