After I drop Lyla off at the house and watch her get dragged away by Megan, I start the search for a parking spot. I drive up and down street after street for about twenty minutes before I finally luck out and someone is leaving a spot that I am able to steal. Unfortunately, it is still about a half hour walk back to the party now. I contemplate running, but I don't want to be all sweaty by the time I get there. I do walk at a quicker pace then I normally would though as I dodge numerous drunk people stumbling down the sidewalk. I can hear the music in the distance as I finally reach the street of the party. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I check it to find a text from Lyla asking where I am. I reply and let her know I'm almost at the house before I slide my phone back in my pocket.

I walk in the front door and I am instantly annoyed by the amount of people packed into it. This will not help in my attempt to try and find Lyla. I start to push my way through the crowd and finally break free of the mosh pit that is the living room and find the kitchen. I have more space and settle in the corner of the room, leaning back against the counter as I pull my phone out again. Lyla hasn't replied to my last text, but I send her another letting her know I am in the kitchen. As soon as I hit send on the text, I find myself being swarmed by someone as they wrap their arms around my waist. I sigh when I look down at a drunk Erica whose eyes are red and glossy as she smirks up at me then buries her head in my chest. Her arms squeeze tightly around my waist.

"Shhhaawwwwnnn," Erica slurs out loudly as I feel her push herself into me even further. I roll my eyes as I reach around my back to grab her hands and firmly remove them from around me. I manage to take a side step away from her as well and put some distance between us. She looks up and pouts at me. "What's that all about?" She asks, her voice angry and annoyed as she stares up at me.

"You know Erica," I reply tiredly as I sigh again. I glance around the kitchen to try and see if I can find Lyla and escape this awkward and annoying encounter.

"I miss you," she whines out irritatingly and when I look back down to her I wonder how the hell I dated this girl for a year and a half.

"That sucks for you," I pull my phone out and check it again, no reply from Lyla. I search the next room desperately hoping to find her.

"Who you looking for?" Erica slurs out from beside me, her tone is no longer angry.

"Don't worry about it."

"Oh, I know, Lyla!" Erica exclaims and when I glance back at her she's holding her finger up like she just found a clue to solve some mystery. I roll my eyes at her antics as I move towards the keg and start to pour myself a beer. "Well she is already being entertained if you know what I mean," she tells me as she giggles and takes another swig of her drink.

"What are you talking about?" I ask her as I feel my temper starting to build already.

"I saw her hanging out with Tyler on the patio like twenty minutes ago. They seemed to be enjoying each other's company," she smirks like the damn devil up at me and wiggles her eyebrows. My jaw is clenched tight as I try to take a breath and calm myself with this news. I shouldn't even be listening to Erica, she's absolutely smashed out her mind and probably just trying to piss me off. I down my cup of beer and refill it before tipping it back again and emptying the cup. I toss the empty cup onto the counter as I push pass Erica and find my way through the house and out into the backyard. I pull my phone from my pocket when the fresh air hits me and find no new notifications.

There are a shit ton of people in the crowd and I don't know how I expect to find her. I see another keg setup on the other side of the deck and I stride over to it. I notice a few of the guys from the team are gathered around it and they are grabbing shots off a tray on a table.
