'Sir the pulse is there but it's weak I have called for emergency medical assistance.' I held Nat in my arms. 'Maybe we should put her on the sofa in the living room y/n.' He placed his hand on my shoulder. 'She's gonna be okay she's the toughest person on the team. Come on kid you'll be more comfortable.' I nodded as he helped me stand I still cradled Nat tears streaming down my face I looked to Loki and felt nothing. No love no anger I was completely numb. I just wanted Nat to be okay, Tony must have noticed my staring. 'He's okay, I've figured out a way to help him but for now he'll stay in the cells, away from you and Nat.'
I heard the sirens nearby so carried Nat towards the living room. Yelena turned to me and saw Nat in my arms. 'No.' She choked I blinked and a huge tear fell of my face. 'Put her here.' Steve patted the sofa and held his arms out to help steady her as I placed her down. 'I'm sorry Nat. I'm so sorry.' I knelt down beside her stroking her forehead planting small kisses as if by magic it would wake her up. 'What happened?' Yelenas face was full of pain and anger she took a step closer to me. 'I swear if you had any part in this-' Tony interrupted. 'It wasn't y/ns fault. Y/n would never hurt Nat.' He looked at me 'tell them y/n!' I put my head down. 'Kid... you know it wasn't your fault.' Wanda walked over to me but spoke softly. 'Y/n what did you do?' I was about to explain when the doors flew open.
'You guys call 911?' Steve nodded and pointed to Nat. 'One of you can come with us the rest can stay or follow behind. Who's the closest person to her?' Everyone looked at me. I followed them out holding nats hand. 'Y/n didn't do it. They wouldn't hurt her on purpose.' Wanda defended. 'On purpose, Loki could have made them.' Steve claimed. 'Then it's still not their fault!' Wanda started to get upset. 'Guys its not fair arguing about this right now. None of us know what happened. We can't assume either way whether y/n is guilty or not.' Clint explained. 'Legolas is right let's focus on Nat then we'll decide once we hear y/ns side of the story.'
Y/n POV
I was in the ambulance holding Nat's hand rubbing my thumb across the back. Tears still staining my face. I was made to stay in the waiting room whilst they did all these tests. 'Are you y/n l/n, with the uh.. little nat?' The doctor approached me whispering the last part. 'Yes I am, is she okay?' 'She's still not awake but there's no other serious damage apparent at this time, but we'll have to wait till she wakes up. You can visit her now if you'd like.' I nodded and followed him to Nat's room. I wanted to burst into tears at the sight of all the tubes in her I wanted to pull them out and hold her and take her home. But I knew I couldn't. 'Hey baby girl.' A tear slipped past my defences and ran down my face. I couldn't do anything but sit there waiting, hoping and crying trying to stay strong and faithful but I couldn't help but doubt if she'd be okay.TW: struggles with eating.
'Hey kid, how's Nat?' Tony asked when I got back, everyone was sat around nervously. I just walked past them and went straight to my room. 'So not good then.' He sighed rubbing his eyes in concentration. I just flopped onto my bed hugging Nat's pillow it still smelled like her. I didn't do anything until dinner when Wanda knocked on my door. 'Hey y/n, I made you some pasta.' I didn't bother responding so she walked in anyway. 'Come on you love pasta.' I just laid there trying not to cry. ' I'm not leaving till you at least try it.' I sighed and sat up knowing how stubborn she can be, she sat on the edge of the bed. 'Thank you.' She readjusted my pillows and I sat back against them. 'Eat a minimum of two forkfuls or I'm setting up a bed in here.' She handed me the bowl, I couldn't do it, I wasn't hungry I just felt sick. 'I don't think I can.' She raised her eyebrows and tilted her head at me.
'Try.' She stabbed the pasta onto the fork and held it in front of me. 'Now you know how Nat feels when you make her eat, but I'm giving you an option here, take the fork and do it yourself or I will treat you like a little.' I tried to call her bluff and stay still but she actually tried to feed me. 'Y/n open your mouth and eat the pasta or I'm putting you in time out. Act like a child get treated like one.' I opened my mouth and ate the pasta. I didn't know whether to laugh or get annoyed. Obviously Wanda knew I'm not a little but this situation was funny if not embarrassing and I did eat some of the pasta. 'See that wasn't so bad? One more.' She held another forkful to my mouth, I tried to grab the fork but she pulled away and smirked. 'You had your chance.'
She fed me the second lot I swallowed what last part of my dignity I had left along with the pasta. 'I'm glad you are having fun.' I spat. 'Oh I am.' She smiled. 'Ok I'm sorry but it was the only thing I could think of. You were being more difficult than Nat.' I flinched at her name and turned away from Wanda. 'We'll I've eaten what you told me to so you can go now.' Wanda sighed and stood up but not before tucking Ted into my arms. I clung onto him, he was even more imprinted with Nat's scent, I cuddled him until the next morning after only a few hours sleep.
