"You're the Goblin King," Sarah spoke in utter awe. Making it hard for me to take anything she says right now seriously.

"Sarah, you mention that fucking make-believe man one more damn time and I'll..." My words are caught in my throat. After getting back on my feet and following her shocked gaze it's hard not to question if this is some sort of dream.

The atmosphere around us has turned sour. Lights throughout the room have gone dim. Winds blow leaves into the room by the dozens, and sprits of rain practically drench the white window drapes. Flashes of blue lightning occur behind the blonde man who is standing right before us.

"I want my brother back, please if it's all the same." I can't seem to focus on what she is saying.

I can't take my eyes off him for one moment. The way his dashing robes sparkle from the moonlight outside really is breathtaking. His hair is a nice shade of golden blonde, much more vibrant than Sarah's stepmom's. The makeup simply highlights his brilliant cold eyes.

"What said is said." His voice is even better than I ever imagined it to be.

Michel, the kid who is going to act as the king in the play is not living up to expectations like the man before me. No, this magical man is not what I picture but so much more.

"But I didn't mean it." Sarah pleaded.

"Oh, you didn't." A tilt of his head and a wicked grin makes my knees wobble.

"Yeah, w-we were j-just playing around." The stutter surfacing out of nowhere isn't normally what happens when I get nervous.

The Goblin King's eyes left my friend's way and now rest upon my being.

The king looks me up and down. A great flush appears on my cheeks. His pale green eyes, maybe they're soft blue, seem to twinkle with such curiosity.

"Now, don't start trying to take some of the blame, Franklin... you have a bad habit of wanting to protect Sarah when she needs no help with her problems." He pointed a black-gloved finger at me before returning back to look at Sarah.

My heart is thumping fast away inside my chest. It seems harder to breathe properly at the moment. Beads of sweat threaten to slip down the sides of my face.

"Please tell me where he is." I take a brief moment to look at Sarah closer by taking a few steps so now I'm beside her.

Her hands are clenching her tunic sleeves. A twitching left foot causes me great alarm. I hope she doesn't cave in before my opportunity to help the situation opens.

I'll help Sarah regardless of what this king says.

"You know very well where he is." The king moved forward a few steps making my breath hitch. His eyes shoot to meet my stare. I gulped just a little. His grin only grows bigger as he takes in my reaction.
