I looked down at Sam and glanced up at Rick who was staring at Robert intently. Robert rubbed his upper arms and glanced over at me. He wasn't really comfortable with Rick and the whole enhanced virus situation but he was trying to make the best of it and for that I was grateful. Sam had gone into her sleep last night after what happened with Mark. I had no idea where he was at the moment and frankly didn't care. I hated when guys were assholes like that and I wouldn't stand for it. Robert looked over at Rick again and flinched when their eyes met. Rick's eyes were beginning to turn completely red and he licked his lips.

"I apologize if I am scaring you...but I am terribly hungry." Rick commented.

Robert looked shocked and was about to say something else when I cut him off.

"Go off and hunt. Come back when you feel better." I said softly.

Rick nodded and then walked out of the room. Robert watched him leave and was about to say something else when I put my hand over his mouth. This guy has excellent hearing to if Robert was going to say something messed up, I knew that Rick would hear him. Robert raised his eyebrows and I waited a few seconds and then took my hand off his mouth.

"He has excellent hearing so I didn't want him to hear us." I explained.

Robert nodded and then looked down at Sam. "How do you stand it? I'm sorry but....this...just doesn't seem right to me."

"What do you mean?"

"Well...they eat...flesh. They have scary red eyes and can even smell you! Dude....I just don't really like it."

I clenched my jaw but I understood where he was coming from. But he didn't know where I was coming from. This is Sam...and I love her either way. Rick on the other hand is a good guy....

You barely know him!

That's true...but when he told me about his life..he showed me that he trusted me. I wanted to keep it that way. He was still human..ish.

"I know babe." I said and walked into his arms. I sighed as his arms wrapped around me. His arms were so warm. I could hear his heart beating as I put my head against his chest. He began to hum Weezer under his breath.

"Is that Island in the sun?" I asked curiously.

He nodded and then started to sing it. I laughed and then our eyes met. He began to make me turn slightly in a dance and then I twirled slowly. I was a horrible dancer and I think he just figured that out. He bit his lip and stared at me.

"Oh shut up." I laughed and slapped him on the chest.

"I didn't say anything!" he laughed indignantly.I laughed and then he pulled me in for another hug. I pulled away and laughed when he looked over at me with a smirk.

He stretched his arms and made sure to flex his muscles as well. "Well...is that how it's going to be?"

I bit my lip and felt a blush but I tried to hide it. I looked down at Sam."I guess it is going to be like that." I replied.

"Oh man. It's getting hot in here...." he laughed and pulled off his shirt.

"WHA-?!?" I yelled and then covered me eyes. "What are you doing?" I whispered feverishly.

"Well I said it was hot and I needed to cool down." he retorted.

I was about to say something else when I heard someone open the door. I uncovered my eyes and saw Oscar standing there with his eyebrows raised. He looked at Robert shirtless and my flushed face and then scowled. Great, just fucken great. I was about to have one of those big brother to little sister talks.  He walked further into the room and closed the door.

"Sorry...didn't mean to interrupt." he laughed tensely.

"There was nothing going on." I said nervously.

"Of course I believe you! I mean your boyfriends back....and hes shirtless. Your face is flushed...and your alone. Clearly nothing is going on. My bad." he replied sarcastically. Big brothers could sometimes be a pain in the freaken ass. 

"There was nothing going on bro." Robert said calmly and put his shirt back on. "I was just teasing your sis. That's all."

Oscar looked over at him. "Was I talking to you?"

"Stop being a dick Oscar!" I yelled.

He looked over at me. "Look...I have Mark in a room locked because I'm concerned about your safety and Roberts. The only thing I am asking for is to not make this hard for me. Mark has a point because Robert did leave. He did leave you destroyed and then all of a sudden he comes back and decides that you to are still together-"

"I had a say in it too and I love him." I interrupted him. Oscars eyes met mine and he stayed quiet. He turned around slowly and faced Robert.

"I told you this already but I will tell you again. Don't hurt her...or I will kill you."

It was tense for a few more moments and then Rick walked back into the room. His eyes weren't as red as before and he was wearing a new shirt. He had explained to us that while he is hunting it's hard to control the animal instincts that kick in. He just wants to run freely, so he always has to change after a hunt.

"Feel better?" he nodded and then smiled. He noticed how everyone was tense and his smile dimmed.

"It seems like I missed...something?" he said uncertainly.

Robert nodded and then I noticed him clench his jaw. Ever since he came back he's been extra jealous towards Rick. I mean....why would he? Rick was just my weird, messed up friend who I so happened to see him eat a bunny?

I shook my head.

My thoughts weren't making sense lately. I guess..I was just easily distracted.

Anita walked into the room and smiled tensely. Her eyes looked puffy and red, I could strait out tell she had been crying.  I hadn't seen her in a while. Yeah, we lived in the same place..but with all that has been going on she has been avoiding me. I hadn't seen Dianne either. Oscar had everything to do with that. It was kind of like...she had a restraining order? Pretty much if anyone saw her coming near me, then they would make her leave me alone.

"Ummm Dianne wanted to see how Sam is doing, but she didn't want to come herself. So she sent me to see. How's her stomach?" she asked.

How did she get in here!?!

She took in the room and noticed the blood and other stuff all over the floor. Her eyebrows shot up and she examined us each carefully. Almost as if she was looking for who was hurt.

"What happened in here?" she asked alarmed.

I looked over at Oscar who had a huge frown on his face. Robert had a far off look(probably daydreaming.) Rick on the other hand was looking closely at Anita and then his eyes widened.

"WHAT DID YOU DO!" he yelled and charged towards her.
