In A Twisted World

Yvette sighed as she plopped into her bed back at her apartment. She turned her head to see her ace Pokemon, Talonflame, on his stand, ready to nod off at any moment.

"Hah. Nice job today. You did super well." Yvette praised the avian Pokemon, who nodded curtly, used to Yvette's unending praise. Of course he would be used to someone like Yvette, having been her partner for almost 7 years already.

Yvette chuckled lightly, her eyes droopy. "Let's get a good nights rest, okay?" Talonflame nodded and slumped down, already asleep. Yvette pulled her blankets over her and stared out into the big city, the lights of Lumiose illuminating her bedroom.

She sighed. And her eyes closed.

She would have a long day ahead of her.

Yvette woke up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes tiredly. She was snapped out of her drowsiness when she realized she wasn't in her room anymore

Instead, she was in a confined, empty and dark space with now idea where she was.

"What in the world..." She muttered, confused and on edge. Was it Team Flare coming after her again? Is this some sort of prank her brother was trying to pull? She swears Yveltal can be a bad influence sometimes.

"Remain Calm." A voice reassured. Yvette recognized it and relaxed. "Xerneas... thank Arceus." Yevette whispered in relief. "I Am Glad You Are Fine. You Panicked And I Was Worried For A Moment." The girl smiled. "I'm glad you care so much. Anyways, do you know where we are?"

There was a pause before Yvette spoke up again. "Xerneas? Are you okay?" "My Apologies, But I Am Afraid I Do Not Know." Yvette's rosy lips formed into a thin line. "It's okay, we'll figure it out."

"Hngg, lid's too heavy." A voice grunted, causing Yvette to tense up.

"What was that?" Yvette whispered nervously. "I Am Afraid I Do Not Know." Xerneas replied, just as weary as their trainer.

There was a small beat of silence and Yvette furrowed her eyebrows. She sighed to calm herself down, but it was proven futile as the lid burst open from bright blue flames, making her yelp.

"Nyahaha! That should do it— Fnga! Why are you up!?" A creature yelled.

Yvette looked at it curiously. "A shiny Zorua? And it talks?" She mumbled confusedly.

"Hah? I'm not a 'Zorua'! I'm the Great Grim!" The monster, Grim, spat. "Now! Hurry up and gimme your clothes, or else I'll scorch ya!"

"That Must Be An Attempt At A Threat." Xerneas pointed out. Yvette shrugged. "He isn't very threatening." She replied.

"What!? I'll show you threatening! Fnga~~~!" Grim let out another burst of blue flames and Yvette decided it was time to high tail it out of there.

"What in the name of Mew is going on!?" Yvette screamed as she ran, avoiding the blue flames.

"I Have No Clue! Just Keep Running, Someone Is Sure To Notice This!" Yvette nodded and sped up.

The girl slowed down as she arrived in the library. "Is this place a type of school?" She wondered.

"Seeing As Though That There Are Classrooms In That Castle, I Would Assume So."

Yvette let out a sigh of relief as she sat to catch her breath. Surely someone had noticed them.

"Oh, mon Arceus... C'était fou..."
