Some days everything felt free and perfect.
Others made Time feel as though he were playing a deadly game of ocelot and parrot.
Time was the parrot, the prey, and Elemental, his own brother, the ocelot, the predator.
The former hated it.
No matter where he went, Elemental could track his energy across the Overworld. Time knew that. The one disadvantage of having him as a brother.
An insane, possessive brother.
They would never have taken up Galaxy's way if they knew it would bring them to this:
Elemental holding the Green Village Leader hostage, with Time forced to make the choice of going with his brother, or watching the innocent green steve be destroyed in front of him, Sabre and Dark.
To say this wasn't a little conflicting for Time was an understatement. He didn't want to go back to his dimension with Elemental, then let him break him down further. But at the same time, he couldn't let a steve who had no part in his and his brother's conflict die because of his refusal to comply.
Little did the time controller know how his brother felt about the situation.
Elemental, like his brother, was also conflicted, but not in the same way. On one hand, he didn't want to hurt his brother, especially after everything they've been through. However, they both took up their creator's way of watching but not interfering, yet Time went against that more than once. Elemental felt as though Time needed to be taught a lesson on keeping his word, and realize his actions had consequences.
So that's what Elemental attempted to do.
However, what happened next came unexpectedly:
"I disavow."
Time spoke boldly, taking a step forward.
"You are not my brother, Elemental."
The words came as a shock for Elemental. However, he had learned to hide many of his emotions. Said emotions being shock, sadness and joy, as each would take him off his guard.
Something he could not afford to lose, especially not in this situation.
After the initial surprise faded, another emotion kicked in: sadness. His brother, the other half of Galaxy, had just disowned him. That was unexpected, Elemental would give him that, but also disappointing.
Maybe he'd gone too far to regain Time. Maybe he shouldn't have weakened him so much. Maybe-
No.
Elemental shook his head to clear away the traitorous thoughts. He couldn't think like that, not now at least. He had to remain strong, then take Time back and away from everyone. His goal couldn't change now.
He was too far set in his new ways for anything else to occur.
