Ask Yasak Part VII

Everything was happening very quickly and it wasn't making sense to Eda.
As Ferit was slowly going down on his knees, music was being played in the background people were making surprised noise and all.... Eda didn't like it at all.

Ferit was taking a little box out of his pocket and it wasn't rocket science for Eda to guess what was in it.

She wanted to retreat backwards from this point... As much as it was important for Eda to be married at this point for claiming her inheritance..... It was not supposed to be happening like this...

Now every eye was in Eda for her response and she did not wanna make a hasty decision.... Ferit should have talked about this to her, she wasn't clear if he was proposing to get her out of the mess or he was really proposing her with his heart.

Because knowing Ferit since a month she noticed how he was indulging in her and it was obvious he liked her more than friends or colleagues.

Eda usually kept reminding him that he was only a good friend but common sense was always telling her that he is still hoping for more.

Right now the dilemma was ongoing with Eda Ferit on his knees... With a rock ring while people around them were gushing with witnessing this romantic display..... Eda closed her eyes, made up her mind and held his hands...

"Ferit.... I...." Eda tried to muster energy and words.

"She can't Ferit, she's already engaged to me" by magic or whatever power Serkan was besides her immediately and saved this whole situation... Well kind of because Ferit was bummed and angry.....

Now Eda was stunned two times.... First Ferit and now SerkanBolat.... The same Serky who absolutely kinda turned her down now announced that they were engaged... In front of too many people.... Wtfff

"Now now calm down Ferit, actually Eda and I discussed our engagement and we were planning to keep it private for a while but as I understood how you planned to propose to Eda by surprising us I had to declare it openly"
               Serkan was the only one doing the talking here....

He was actually acting a bit smug in front of Ferit which was sort of funny too.

In the meantime while Eda was trying to make some sense out of the whole situation... People started taking pics and some who actually knew Serkan were loudly congratulating them now.

Ferit eventually got the hang of this whole idea and left, Eda felt bad for him but she knew he was gonna be turned down with or without Serkan at her side.

So she turned to Serkan and as if hugging him, got closer to his ear....
"talk privately NOW" she hissed.

"Off course dearest..." Serkan grabbed her by the waist and they moved over to the privacy of the balcony end of the grand Hotel.

"You better explain Serkan" Eda quickly came to the point.

"I had to make a rushed up decision Eda, it was Ferit's idea to propose to you and Piril told me... So I thought why not I do it because Ferit is not good at keeping secrets.... Also since he is a sports superstar he is gonna make too many headlines with the marriage and that would be kind of disturbing for both of you"

Serkan had to make up some stupid excuses because he didn't want to say that it caused him panic that Ferit's intentions were to marry Eda.

Also that Ferit may have tried to make thing marriage last longer by convincing Eda to stay with him.

Serkan did not want to admit to himself that he was afraid to let Eda be near to anyone even on the capacity of fake relationship. More like he didn't trust anyone near Eda, she was gorgeous and for him it was unimaginable that any man could stay unaffected by her charm and beauty.
