Part IV

Serkan carefully carried off an unconscious Eda in his arms, as if she literally weighed nothing, to the couch in his office.

He lay her down gently, smoothing down her hair off her face, trying to check her temperature, Eda did feel a little cold with sweat.... She also looked tired.

When Serkan started to call his doctor, he noticed Eda stirring.... So he put aside the phone and tried calming Eda who was slowly gaining her senses.

"Eda, Eda.... Are you feeling better now.... Do you feel okay" Serkan gently kept stroked her hands while trying to warm them.

Eda opened her eyes slowly groaning... She felt a bit weak as soon as she saw SerkanBolat bending over her, watching with concern.... She sat straight up which caused her to wince.
She held her head with her hands.....

"ooooh I just feel tired Serkan bey... I think I didn't eat my lunch today...."

Eda was trying to make her way to get up out of the couch and away from closeness of Serkan.

"Please keep lying down Eda, let me get you something to drink" Serkan said pushing her back into lying down position.

He got her some cool water....

He could see how drained she was but still wanted to stand up with her remaining strength.
As much as he wanted to blame Ferit, he knew it was his negligence to notice that Balca creating difficult working situations for Eda.

Indirectly it was Serkan who was responsible for this condition of Eda, she was over worked and stressed till she lost her balance.

"I am better now Serkan bey, maybe I should call it a day and go home. I will be fine when I rest"
Eda tried to get out off his office again..... Still again Serkan stopped her.

"Eda, you're tired.... You are overwhelmed with work.... You haven't eaten.... You're being too hard on yourself" Serkan said to Eda.

"I am okay Serkan bey, really I just need to go home... We can discuss tomorrow maybe" Eda had no strength to discuss her work related shortcomings with Serkan right now.

"You are right, you need to call it a day.... But first you need to eat.... Let's go we eat together tonight" Serkan walked towards Eda and held her elbow slightly directing towards the exit....

Eda didn't even have strength to argue.... So she just went along.

When they pulled up at a fancy Bhosporus facing restaurant.... Eda sighed....

It wasn't really a good idea but she was too hungry to think about any other excuses.... She ordered everything she felt delighted for...

As they finished their food in silence... Serkan studied her.... she was probably very hungry, it was good to see a women eating good portions of meal without just tossing some salads.

"I really imagined that you don't eat enough, looking at you it feels you are on a strict diet and when you said you skipped your lunch I really thought you're doing it to cut calories but I was definitely wrong there. "

"So you should learn not to judge others... I have a good metabolism... and I live to eat... I only forgot to take my lunch today because I was issued an immediate deadline to meet for submitting my designs..... Anyway I am good now.... Can we go? "

Eda gave a sarcastic smile and removed her napkin.

Serkan leaned backand studied her....

She did look better now, the color was back in her cheeks and frankly to him she always looked too good to eat...... stop! stop! he scolded his mind.
