*Ollie's POV*
The rest of the convention really wasn't interesting, at all. We went back to the hotel for the night, in preparation for the second day, and everyone just went straight to sleep. Everyone except Stacey, that is. Whom decided to try and sneak into my hotel room and climb into my bed. I was having none of that. I mean, sure, Stacey was pretty and she'd been going through a rough time of it, but it was innocent flirting. I wouldn't do anything with her. I couldn't, it would be like my own body betraying me. Because, of course, the one I really wanted was Luke. "Aw, c'mon." Stacey whined as I lead her out of my room, towards her own. "I just watched to cuddle." She hiccuped. Drunk. It only took a second to process this fact, the hotel rooms stored alcohol in the mini-fridges, and she'd obviously abused the privilege.
I could see Chelsea passed out on Stacey's bedroom floor, sprawled out amongst cans of various substances, glass bottles and a variety of other drinks. She would be in a terrible mood tomorrow. I thought about going to get Jack, he'd be able to carry her back to her own room, but then I remembered that me and Jack weren't actually classed as 'friends'. More, 'aquaintances'. And he would not be pleased to be woken up by me in the middle of the night to come and collect his sleeping girlfriend from someone else's room. Forget it, I thought to myself. She can just sleep there. Dumping Stacey in the doorway of her hotel room, I started to make my way back towards my own.
The rest of the night was very peaceful.
*Seth's POV*
The second day of the convention was a blurr, and we left half-way through the day. All of the decent stalls had been on the first day, and none of the acts or competitions were overly thrilled. None of us had put much effort into our costumes, except Ollie, whom was dressed as a maid, and looked absolutely adorable. Damn, that boy could easily pass as a female. He was even wearing padding to make himself appear as though he had breasts. Dear Lord. We walked around, mainly buying candies and other confectionarys, rather than our usual stash of anime, manga and merchandise. However, there was a nice atmosphere, most of the people had come to the first day of the convention, so today the warehouse was almost empty. There was a new attraction in place of the IDOLM@STER performance yesterday, a maid cafe! I loved these things so much~
"Guys! Maid cafe!" I screeched. Suddenly, everyone was looking in the direction I was pointing towards, and I could see their faces lighting up. All except Chelsea and Stacey. All day so far, the pair of them had walked around groaning and complaining about 'all the noise', when today was the quietest convention I'd ever attended. "Kyaaaa~" Ollie charged forwards, practically flying into the small marquee. Everyone else followed in close pursuit, especially me. These events were always amazing to take part in, the maids always played their parts so well, never once breaking character. "Welcome!" A chorus of cute voices sounded around me as I entered. Ollie was already sitting at a table, flicking through a pink, lace-covered menu. "Ojii-sama, may I guide you to a seat?" One of the maids approached me. She was very pretty, wearing make-up, but not too much. She looked cute.
She took me over to my seat, as the other maids began to branch our little group off into couples, sitting at their own tables, and having their own maids taking care of them. There didn't seem to be many other visitors besides us, which was a shame, because you could see from the decoration that these girls had put a lot of effort into this event. The marquee had been decorated with ribbons and bows, and signs written entirely in Japanese. It was amazing. And, none of these girls would be payed. They did it because they loved it. "I'll take the strawberry surprise, and a cup of English tea, please." I told my maid, whom beamed me the most genuine smile I'd ever seen in my entire life. Reuben sat opposite me, we still hadn't fixed things between us. Of course, we were no longer 'together', but I'd reacted strangely when he ended things. I'd planned on doing the same thing, right?
"I'll take a batch of macarons and a chocolate milkshake with extra cream, if you will." He requested politely. The maid gave him a small nod, before dashing off to the kitchen, to pass our orders on to whoever was in the kitchen. Everyone appeared to be done ordering, so we all began to talk amongst ourselves. All except Ollie, whom was talking to one of the maids, whom was no doubt complimenting him on his dress. They both laughed, as though they had their own private joke and had known each other for years. I could see Stacey becoming aggitated in her seat. If she was expecting to get somewhere with Ollie, she would be very disappointed. It was obvious whom he truly liked, and perhaps his feelings would be returned, maybe.
*Reuben's POV*
Sitting across from Seth was the most awkward thing ever. I didn't know whether to speak or stay completely silent. Everything I planned on saying didn't seem right when I formed a sentence in my head. In the end, I decided to just stay silent. We were in some stupid maid cafe. Sure, the girls had put a lot of effort into it, but in honesty, I just wanted to leave. It was just bad luck that I'd ended up living near Seth, and staying in the same hotel as him last night. Sure, he was a nice guy, but I really couldn't see it working out between us. The maid brought me my food, and I quickly forced it down. "I'm gonna go back to the hotel and grab my stuff." I announced, exiting the marquee. I could see the unmasked look of hurt on Seth's face as I spoke, but I chose to ignore it. It was a one-day fling, he'd get over it. I mean, it wasn't as though he'd put up a major fight when I told him we couldn't be together...
I sat down on my bed in the hotel room, this would be the last time I ever saw it. I took this time to think back over the convention, meeting Seth and his friends. They definitely made it a more interesting weekend, that's for sure. But, we just weren't right for each-other. Seth was so flawless and he made me feel insecure, I didn't want that in a relationship. Not to mention, the awkward love triangles going on between his friends would surely get on my nerves. It was easier to just leave them all behind right now, make new friends at school and pretend I didn't know any of them.
That's why I chose to leave without really saying goodbye. It was easier.
*Chelsea's POV*
Stacey lived 20 minutes away. It wasn't that far, but when we said our goodbye's, it felt as though I'd been torn apart from my siamese twin. Although, that would be really gross. There'd be blood like, everywhere. Ew. I bet it'd get into my hair and totally stain my clothes. "Well, bye then." I spoke blankly. In all honesty, we'd really connected over the day and a bit that we'd known each other, and I didn't want her to see my crying. "Bye, I guess." She mumbled back, although I could see a tear brimming in her eye. We both broke down instantly and began hugging each other, promising that we'd meet up sometime soon. This was a promise I'd definitely keep. Someone to bitch about Melissa with. Hurrah! "I suppose I'd better go find the bitches I came here with." She told me with a light smile. I replied with a small "Uh-huh" and a nod. And just like that, she was gone. Reuben had left earlier on in the day, and now it was just the original group. Minus the fat girl. Nobody knows what'd happened to her. Last time we'd seen her, she was dressed as Mew Ichigo, her rolls spilling over the edge of her cosplay. Maybe some pervert took her off somewhere. Oh well.
I noticed that Ollie hadn't been upset to get rid of Stacey. He hadn't promised to call her. Hell, he hadn't even taken her number. What was going on there? One minute they were all-over each other, and then it was as though Stacey didn't even exist. Maybe he'd found another girl, or guy, to go for. In that case, he was no friend of mine. Stacey was a nice girl, somewhat, and he'd lead her on. It wasn't fair. I'd certainly be having words with him at some point. "Chels! We're getting ready to go!" That was Seth. Oh, poor Seth. I think, secretly, he'd really liked Reuben. But he got dropped like a hot sack of potatoes. Reuben went to our school, he was in our year, so no doubt Seth would have some classes with him. I honestly felt so bad for him, that's why I was lucky to have Jack. He was always by my side, he'd been a really good boyfriend to me. And, even though we were both young, we meant a lot to each other.
It was nice...
