Charlie and Cameron were woken up by a loud knock at the door. Charlie groaned and put one of the pillows over his ear. Cameron checked his alarm clock and saw that he and Charlie didn't have to be awake for another ten minutes. Cameron sighed, got out of bed, and opened the door. Maggie was standing on the other side of it, smiling big.

"Jesus," Cameron said and closed the door a bit, "I barely have clothes on."

"Sorry, but I thought I would be everyone's wake up call," she looked over at Charlie's bed. He was starting to drift back to sleep, "Dalton!"

Charlie immediately sat up, "Yes drill sergeant," he complained.

"Up and at 'em."

"Alright," he yawned.

"See you guys in a little bit," Maggie grinned and went back to her room.

As Maggie had commanded, all the boys had gotten up and ready to go. They waited in the hallway with tired eyes and heavy suitcases for Maggie and Evelyn. They came out of their room, Maggie energetic, and Evelyn about to fall asleep.

"Ready?" Maggie asked.

"Ready," the poets repeated.

They walked together and passed Mr. Hager as they made their way down the stairs. He smiled at them and wished them a good time at the charity event. Even though he was tired, Charlie managed to wink at Maggie.

They got out in front of the school and there were two taxis waiting for them, "You got us taxis?" Neil asked.

"Of course," Maggie said, "how else are we getting to the train station?"

Maggie, Charlie, Meeks, and Pitts got into one taxi, and Neil, Evelyn, Knox, Todd, and Cameron got into the other one. It was a quick drive to the station, and they were perfectly on time.

They boarded the train and took their seats. Todd was excited to get a row to himself. Neil and Evelyn sat behind him. Cameron and Knox sat behind them. Next to Todd sat Meeks and Pitts, and behind them sat Charlie and Maggie.

Pretty much everyone decided to close their eyes and try and go back to sleep after being woken up by Maggie, although nobody was really able to. However, even though Maggie was very energetic the whole morning, she passed out as soon as she sat down. Charlie turned to talk to her, but her head was resting on the window and she had fallen asleep. He chuckled and whispered to Evelyn.

She looked at Maggie, "she was up all night making sure everything was set for today," she said, "now she can finally get some sleep," she laughed. Charlie smiled and put his jacket over her. She readjusted and used his jacket as a blanket.

Meeks had brought a few comic books with him and was sharing them with Pitts. Meanwhile, Evelyn was sharing her favorite Dickinson poems with Neil, "Soul, take thy risk, with Death to be, were better than be not, with thee," she read.

"You really love Dickinson, huh?" Neil asked.

"How could you tell?" She chuckled.

He smiled at her, "When did you begin to like poetry?"

"My dad used to read to me when I was a little," Evelyn said, "he would read from Thoreau, Shakespeare, Dickinson, Wordsworth, and Brontë. He sometimes would make them up," she looked out the window at the Vermont woods, "he read to me almost every night. Even the night before he left for Korea," she turned back to look at Neil. He was listening with intent.

She turned away again, and felt as though she had to let Neil into her memories, "Um, my dad served in the war. Then, he was called back in '52, because he was a really good pilot. Um, about, a, a month later," Evelyn wiped under her eye with her thumb, "we got a visit from some Colonel at our front door."
