I awoke with a start in my head again and I was immediately enveloped in a hug.

"Your okay."

I smiled at the familiar voice.

"Yeah ill be okay. Are you okay? Is everyone okay?"

He nodded.

"Yeah, we're all okay."

He held me at arm's length.

"Oh my my my. Looks like you wanted to have his mind invaded."

My breath hitched.

"Absentis wake up now."

He looked at me concerned.

"Wh-"

"Get up now!" I yelled unsheathing Ereni and slashing at him.

His figure shimmered and disappeared.

"Wow. guess not." Dream pouted. "I do like invading minds. Just a small hobby of mine."

I still had Ereni in my hand and I studied her.

"She is a very pretty blade."

Then his figure glitched and he was directly next to me. I kept a straight face as he whispered in my ear.

Flattery and threats. Everything and nothing. Trying to get me to change sides.

"Beware the girl with bright red eyes."

I started.

"For red skin and bat wings, she can disguise."

Dream stepped back confused.

"Stuck in Hell. but not in her home."
I flipped my knife around so that It pointed at his stomach.

"The queen will return to take back her throne."

He caught the knife mid-air.

"I'm not stupid enough to fall for th-"

His words were stopped as a blade went directly through him.

"Sure." Absentis said his blade sticking directly through Dreams stomach.

He disappeared again with a salute and a smile.

"Heroes don't get happy endings." Dream sputtered coughing up blood.

I pulled Absentis's sword out from inside of Dream and held it towards him.

"Maybe we don't. Maybe all we do is try and try to get a happy ending. So sure. Maybe we don't get happy endings. But we make everyone else's stories a hell of a lot better."

Blood was pooling around the figure as he slowly started shimmering.

"You won't win. I won't let you."

I cackled.

"Listen green boy."

He looked at me and growled.
