Fall is here ya'll!!!! Pumpkins, cinnamon, and hoodies everywhere! LOL! Here is the next chapter following last chapter. Again, I am happy to take any feedback or questions in the comments. Hope you all enjoy this one! :)
Dawn's POV:
My hands moved in a circular scrubbing rhythm as I hurriedly finished the last couple of dishes in the sink. I wanted to clean up as fast as possible so that my brothers and I can return to our plan on stopping Morro. Although, I was happy to see my older sister enjoying herself with us during dinner. Laughing, and having fun despite the horrors I know she's enduring. Her smile brought a light into my day, and a sign that showed me that the Angel I knew was still in there.
She's still there....and we can still save her.
I place the last plate that I cleaned on the drying rack before drying up my paws. My feet rushed to my bedroom where I told Pythor and Lloyd to meet me. That was were I planned to display the blueprints I created for the machine Pythor and I built back at the lab. It just needed a few more parts and last minute coding before it can be activated.
Once I made it to my bedroom that I shared with Jay and Zane, I made a straight beeline towards my desk. Pulling out the blueprints in the second right hand drawer. I flattened the sheets of paper over the desk, analyzing the concept of the machine's design requirements.
" I was able to find a few spare parts that were needed," Pythor said, interrupting my train of thought. He slithered up to me after standing in the doorway. " But I think we might have to go on a bit of a search to find that." He pointed to a type of crystal that I wrote down.
" It's obsidian," I said. " While living with Zane and his father, I found many ways to create energy and fuel through different materials. Granite, iron, diamond, and of course obsidian."
" I think I know of a place where we can obtain it."
" Where?"
" Torch Fire Mountain," Pythor explained, holding the blueprints up to his face. " It's a little ways away, but with this flying ship we're on I'd assume it would be a small feat."
Nodding in agreement, I bent over the tall Serpentine's shoulder to read the blueprint plans as I stood on my chair. His eyes turn in my direction, noticing my focused glare as I studied the paper. A slight smile crept on his face.
" What?"
" Nothing, you just seem so deep in thought," he placed his hand on my shoulder. " But you seem stressed. Are you alright?"
I sigh, " Yeah, I'm ok. I just hope my sister will be ok when we use this on her. If I'm being honest with you...I'm afraid it might do something to her." The Anacondrai let out an understanding humm as I said this.
" We'll test it out first of course, before anything else," he stated. " Like on another magicked item or being, such as the spellbook."
" Ok, I guess that could work," I smile back at him. I was happy to have an older brother like him to help me out. What he said calmed me down, about the whole plan we had. As silent as the wind a crashing sound boomed from a nearby room.
It was out of nowhere when we both heard it. A scream...a scream so high pitched that it could be only heard at a frequency animals could hear. Both my brother and I exchanged frightful glances as we raced to the hallway.
" Is everything ok?!" I shouted. No answer returned to me.
" C'mon, and stay behind me," Pythor instructed, holding my paw as I followed him.
