What happens now

Angel's POV:

The air seemed to bite at my nose which happened to be the first thing that greeted me as my mind began to slowly return to reality.

Swiveling my ears left to right, mumbles and a variety of voices flooded the Bounty. I was still in a half daze as I tried to grasp the previous events. All I could recall was my foot striking my little sister, following a burst of hot fire sending me into blackness. I lifted myself up into an upright position on my bed. The bright light through the window told me it was early morning, and the clouds indicated that we were traveling somewhere.

My head drooped into my hands, a surge of pain like a striking dagger hitting it with a bitter aftertaste. I groan loudly.

What happened last night? Why did I kick Dawn? She didn't do anything wrong, at least from what I remember...

Maybe the others might know what happened.

I get up and make my way to the door. Weirdly enough my hand struggles to turn the handle. The door refused to open.

Wait...am I locked in?

" Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me? Jay? Kai? Lloyd?" No answer in response.

Ok no need to panic. It's probably one of Kai's sick pranks he learned from Lloyd. That or somebody doesn't want me around. Whatever I must've done last night may have upset them a lot. But...what did I do wrong?

" You guys! It's me! Angel! Can anyone please explain to me what's going on?"

I waited for a minute. That minute turning into ten minutes. I discover I'm waiting on the bed in hopes to at least get some reply. Then thirty minutes pass......no voice assured me that my own was heard beyond that door.

I waited for what seemed like an eternity until a scurry of feet reached my room. The door opened.

" Angel, are you here?" it was Lloyd.

" Lloyd!" I run up off the bed to gift him a hug, but he backs away swiftly. Avoiding my embrace. My eyes start to water.

" Lloyd....what happened? I mean, last night? Did I do something to upset you?" Pythor, Dawn, and Wu enter the room behind Lloyd. The green ninja releases a sigh.

" Angel, we need to talk. I mean, like about why everything seems off nowadays. Yesterday, you tried to kill me, but luckily Pythor and Dawn stepped in time to save me and knock you out. We placed you in a seperate room for safety precautions in case Morro gained control again.  But after last night, we know now what the problem is at hand."

" What you've refused to tell us ahead of time. Before things had gotten worse," Wu breathed out in disappointment following Lloyd's statement. I set myself back down on the mattress.

" What happened last night wasn't your fault," Pythor said. " You weren't in control."

" Oh no," I cover my mouth. They knew. They all knew. The monster was out of its cage and they knew.

My ears drooped down in shame. " Wu, Dawn, all of you I'm so sorry I-"

" We know that it was Morro residing in you at the time. You weren't aware of your actions last night, so don't think we blame you for what happened," Lloyd stated.

" But we are disappointed that you never told this to us in the first place," Wu firmly implied. " Why didn't you?"

" Because.....because...." I struggled to spit out the words as oceans were ready to pour from my eyes. " I was afraid. Afraid that he would do something to you all. That he would hurt you. I thought I could take care of him on my own but," I took a deep breath, " I was wrong. I underestimated him, and I'm paying the price."

A moment of silence fell upon the group. Dawn walked up to me and had the bravery to grant me that hug I wanted earlier. I returned the embrace gratefully.

" It's ok big sis. We got ya. And believe it or not, we've actually been working on something to help get rid of Morro." I look at her awestrucked. Did she actually find a way?

" What did you guys put together?"

" We created a chamber that can measure the different biochemical and magical substances in a person. Not only that but it can disintegrate any specific substance chosen on the computer. If we make the correct calculations and coding...

" We can eradicate Morro out of you, but it's a dangerous risk," Pythor warned. " Many negative results from this can arise such as you losing your powers, to being terminated along with Morro."

" But, we can still make this plan work," Dawn said cutting off my brother's scary accusations. " We need one last thing. Obsidian. So we're heading to Torchfire Mountain to get some." I sigh with relief, but I still am a bit worried about what their machine could do to me.

Nonetheless, I'm willing to take any risk. If it means fighting back at this stupid ghost and protecting Lloyd I'll do it.

But one more questioned remained. Could Morro take control again before they get the chance to get me into the chamber?

" What if Morro takes over my mind again?"

" We'll leave you in here then."

" LLOYD! We can't just quarantine her like she has covid! WHAT THE HECK?!" screeched Dawn.

" Well, what do think we should do Dawn? What happens now? Drop her off in the middle of nowhere?"

" Better than shutting her out like Elsa to Anna in Frozen! That's messed up! Just saying."

" Guys...." I try to get their attention. But the squabbling persists.

" Morro can't take control again, so I say we drop her off at Zane's old place or something."

" No Lloyd those tree creatures would get her!"

" Guys....."

" She can protect herself, and we'll get her back after we finish the project."

" GUYS!" My voice thundered in the room, everyone now facing me. I exhale slow. " I have an idea, if you'll let me explain."

Wu walks up to me, " What is it Angel?"

My tail twitches uneasily, as if telling me to shut my mouth.

" Put me in comatose."
