Gene the Genie

After leaving Ferngully, Gene was put on open water once again, headed toward an island were John Clayton was.
Even tho, Gene had no idea what this man looked like. All he knew was that he is a king from a town his never heard of before.
Luckily,  Gene had his magical compass to help find his way. It's been many days since Gene had left the forest  and this island he was looking for, on the way heading there,  actually worried! Do to how bad the wind was getting and how big the waves were becoming.
Gene just kept holding on, making his way through the craziness of the ocean. After a while the sky darkened,the wind was roaring, the waves have become dangerously big. Rain started coming down from the darken sky, with thunder rolling in. Gene was getting caught into a majorly big storm.
Gene held on for dear life! as the waves were rocking him back and forth, almost rolling over his boat.

Gene kept calm,but scared to the fullest, knowing  he had to roll this out the best he could.
Lightning came down from the darken sky with screaming winds. Gene then looked around and saw the biggest wave he's ever seen, and said, I want to live! Then jumped out of his roll boat in to the water swimming down in the depths and watched his boat get crushed. Gene then swam back up the the surface to breathe. Gene saw pieces of his boat floating on the surface of the water and grabbed a piece and pulled him self on it and floated while in the storm.
After a while, the storm calmed down,  Gene said to him self, Finally! Then passed out. Gene was so tired of hanging on the board and from swimming while in the storm he was just pooped.
After waking up on island that he washed a shore on. He looked up and saw jungle. Gene said, oh thank god for land!! thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you. He got up looked around grabbed his compass and went toward the direction the compass was pointing.
Gene entered the jungle, was able to find some bananas on the ground with big human like hand prints on the ground, but not human? Gene said, these are to big to be human hands.
What could they be? I need to be careful here. Something doesn't feel right about this place. Hours in the jungle making his way across the island,Gene from him self by a little river creek full of fresh water. Gene bent down and starting drinking the fresh water. Then something told Gene to look up and he did,  he was able to see down the creek a female gorilla but he wasn't sure what it was.
