Y/N POV:
I look in those familiar blue eyes and forget about everything else. In this Moment it's just me and Cate against the whole world

"What are you doing here Cate?" I ask her a little scared because I don't want Bryan doing anything to her, I don't even want that he knows that she's in my life. It's none of his business

"So.... Who do we have here? Your new Girl?" Bryan says with a disgusting tone in his voice laughing a Little

"Bryan just cut it and go away. I-.... No, We don't want you here!"

"Only once I'll go, so darling be prepared to see me again these days. Maybe I'll come by at your work... where do you work again? Right the coffee shop" he says with an evil smirk

He left me standing there speechless and made his way over to the door, but not before bumping his shoulder into Cate. She seemed like she didn't mind and just stands there speechless

"Please don't tell me he is who I think he is.."

I just shake my head and ask her to come in because I don't want to discuss this sensitive topic in the hallway, where all my noisy neighbors could listen

"You want a cup of tea?" I ask Cate while we enter my little flat

"No thank you" she declines politely "but please tell me who he is... and why was he screaming at you?"

I hesitate a little bit before I answer, but eventually I tell her everything, and it felt so good to just say it out loud

"So where do I start, Bryan is my ex boyfriend he was and is very toxic. I know this by now and I don't want to have to do anything with him. He Always told and still tells me that I'm worthless without him. For a Long time... and I mean a really Long time I believed him and thought everythig was true he said, but with time I realised it's not true and that i'm worth Living the life of my dreams"

I look into her eyes and with a Little nod she easily makes it clear that I can continue telling her the Story, and that she's listening

"So I decided that I want to break up with him, I mean that's the only Logical Thing you can do in this Situation... But it turned out that it wasn't that easy to break up with him, he's Pretty toxic and I think that everybody knows that toxic People are stubborn" I say with a Little laugh

"I tried to cut him off. Didn't end well and now were here, I tried to move away but he somehow Always find me..." I didn't even notice that a single tear rolls down my cheek until Cate Lifts up my face and wipes the tear a way with her finger

"Hey hey" cate says "it's okay sweetheart, everything is going to be fine" she takes me in her arms and I immediately feel comfortable in her arms

We stay like this for some minutes, and we just enjoy each other's company until Cate breaks the silence

"Could I have a tea now?" She asks laughing softly

"Of course" I say smiling

I brew a tea for Cate and a Coffee for me, I sit down at my couch besides cate and hand her the tea

"Thank you sweetheart" She says while she takes the tea from my hands

I ask cate if she wants to watch something with me and we both decide to watch some modern family together

We both enjoy each other's company and watch the show in comfortable silence until Cate and I fall asleep on my couch
