This was going to be the end of Kaminari Denki. Why? Because he was standing in a strange, dark alley in the middle of the night, hands trembling and cold sweat making his blonde hair (plus his iconic black lightning bolt) stick to his forehead. There was no way of backing out now; Kaminari knew this, but a part of him didn't even want to. His thoughts made him shudder, he shouldn't be having them at all.

The plan was simple and hopefully effective. He trusted Bakugou and so did the other heroes that were on the mission, so when he made the plan, nobody doubted him; they know how well he thought it out. All Kaminari had to do was find the LOV's hidden cameras, cut them off with his electricity, which would make their ambush that much more of a surprise, and eventually help the other heroes in taking down the villains. This, as many things are, was easier said than done. While they had the most powerful heroes of their time on their side, the villains were probably going to be stronger in number and even then they weren't to be underestimated; even if they were villains, Kaminari could still admit some of them had awesome quirks.

At the moment, the first step was in motion. Eraserhead was searching the entryway to see if any villains were guarding the place. If there were any, he'd have to take them out himself and let Kaminari know when it's completely safe for him to go in there, to complete his job. In Kaminari's own biased opinion he thought he'd be able to take down the guarding villains on his own, but after admitting that to Bakugou, the explosive man had said, or more like yelled, that it was Aizawa himself that had requested it be like that. Why his former homeroom teacher would want to protect Kaminari, he had no idea, but that was beside the point. As much as it confused him, he didn't have time to think about it.

Kaminari waited for the signal for what felt like ages, though it couldn't have been more than half an hour, and the anticipation was going to be the end of him. "Chargebolt, the coast is clear", Kaminari heard Aizawa's gruff voice say through his earpiece and that's all he needed to be on his way. As instructed, the man shorted out all of the cameras without much of a problem and let the others know they could come in unnoticed.

On his way to the main part of the base, where the villains were presumably staying in, Kaminari suddenly bumped into somebody. Before he could take in what was happening, the person started dragging him by the back of his collar, out of the hallway and into some room. "Wha-", was all he could let out before he was being pushed to the ground, by a strong pair of hands. Losing his balance entirely, he fell to his knees, back to the person who had been shoving him around for the past minute or so. He hears the door click shut behind him. "Denki, what are you doing here?", an all too familiar voice asked. In a moment of weakness, Kaminari forgets his filter and answer's the man standing behind him, "Hitoshi I-."

Just like that Kaminari was trapped under the purple-haired man's quirk. "Turn around", was not the request, but the command he's gotten, so he did. All he could do now is stare straight into Shinsou's amethyst eyes while being entrapped to do anything and everything the man wished him to. Shinsou looked disappointed for a moment as if he wasn't expecting Kaminari to fall for his cheap trick so easily and in all honesty, Kaminari wasn't either, but the purple-haired man was quick to put his cold and emotionless mask, that Kaminari knows he's perfected over the years, back on as quickly as he let it slip.

"I don't want to hurt you", Shinsou confesses. Kaminari can't help but think, "Then don't", though he knew whatever came next would be a million times worse than any physical pain he's ever had to endure. This was Hitoshi. His Hitoshi. The same Hitoshi that he met 7 years ago and the same Hitoshi that he fell in love with. He'd been Kaminari's first kiss, partner and lover and there he was: standing in front of him.

Shinsou trapped Kaminari's chin, between his thumb and index finger, with no particular purpose in mind. He pressed his lips into a thin line. "I'm going to say this quick, Denki, because I know your friends are out there fighting mine and it's shitty enough that I'm not helping them right now", Shinsou spoke with vigour in his voice.

"You claim to be a hero, but what you did that day was more villainous than anything I've ever done", Shinsou's words burned Kaminari's heart and the echo of them in his mind made his world crumble all over again. "You knew the situation better than anyone, for fucks sake, I told you it myself!", Shinsou's voice began rising as he continued speaking harshly, "I even gave you an out, Den- Kaminari." With the mere utterance of his last name by an all too familiar, yet totally foreign voice, Kaminari felt unshed tears prickling at his eyes.

Shinsou cursed under his breath, knowing Kaminari won't be at his mercy for much longer. "Six years ago I was in the wrong and we both know I still am, but you didn't have to be. You didn't have to hurt me the way you did", Shinsou's voice broke and suddenly Kaminari couldn't hold back his tears anymore.

As tears streamed down his face, Kaminari felt Shinsou leave his mind.

"Your quirk never really worked on me fully, remember?", he whispered.

"Yeah, I remember."

Crash. An explosion ringed from outside of the room, startling both men. Shinsou let go of Kaminari's chin, realizing that he was still holding him. Not knowing what to do or say, Kaminari simply stayed seated. Shinsou recovered faster and left the room without so much as a second glance. Kaminari takes a deep breath and follows soon after.

The villains were escaping through Kurogiri's warp gate, as soon as Kaminari arrived at the scene. As Shinsou walked through, he spared them- him- one more glance. The gate closed and the air was tense. None of the heroes moved and Kaminari wasn't sure he was even breathing. "FUCK!", Bakugou exclaimed from somewhere on Kaminari's left.

-

Shinsou was laughing. He was honest-to-god laughing and if Kaminari weren't in love with the boy already, he sure as hell would be now. He couldn't help joining in with giggles of his own.

Kaminari and Shinsou were training together on Ground Beta after classes on day and made a competition out of it; whoever captures the other more often without using their quirks wins. The latter had caught the former with his capture weapon. An upside-down Kaminari could not stand his boyfriend's teasing, so he shut the boy up with a kiss. Too in-the-moment, Shinsou had let go of his weapon and caused Kaminari to fall on the ground, which apparently was the most hilarious thing to Shinsou, since he would not stop laughing.

Not that Kaminari was complaining, though. He loved the melody that was Shinsou's laughter and could listen to it all day. How did he score such an amazing boyfriend. Ugh, he's so lucky to have Shinsou. "Okay, okay, I get it: me falling mid-kiss is funny. Can we continue training now? I'll totally get you where I want you next time", Kaminari huffed, still amused.

Shinsou offered his hand and pulled his boyfriend up and flush against his own chest, when Kaminari took it. "What do you want to work on now?", he asked with a smirk. "Hm, maybe we can-", Kaminari's sentence was cut off as Shinsou entered his mind for the first time ever.

Shinsou laughed, "Seems like I have you right where I want you", using Kaminari's words against him, which should not be as hot as Kaminari found it. Curse his hormonal teenager feelings.

Kaminari was trapped under his boyfriend's quirk, but he wasn't mad. It was the first time Shinsou had tried it during their training together and Kaminari's chest swelled up with pride. "So he trusts me enough to use his quirk, his biggest insecurity, huh?", Kaminari thought. He couldn't let Shinsou win, though, so he tried using his electricity on him.

It was all to naught though because it felt like his body wasn't his anymore. Like he was on the outside, watching from a different perspective, not at all in control anymore. Like he was a viewer watching a movie.

An idea popped into Kaminari's mind and he tried focusing his electricity on his own brain. "Maybe if I short circuit it'll work", and as soon as he thought it, he was out of Shinsou's hold and shooting electricity into his boyfriend.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that, hot stuff", Kaminari replied smugly with a wink.
