A/N: Hey! As always the first part in italics is a flashback from the past :p This chapter is very dialogue-heavy (and I mean VERY dialogue-heavy) so don't be surprised that most of this chapter is talking- You have been warned. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the story so far so any comments would be appreciated!! On that note, happy reading everyone!

"Are you sure?", Aizawa-sensei asked Kaminari for the umpteenth time that morning. He knew that Kaminari would never joke or lie about something so serious, but he couldn't wrap his head around it. Kaminari nodded silently, his eyes were red and his eyebags were prominent and swollen. The boy had been crying the whole morning and at some point, he simply ran out of tears. He was hurting. Aizawa took a deep breath and called Nezu. They talked for a bit, Aizawa explaining the situation and Nezu telling him how they're going to proceed. After no more than ten minutes, they were ready for what was to come.

It all went by in a flash. It started with all of the UA students being evacuated from their dorms in the morning. The class 2-A kids were instructed to remain extremely quiet as to not wake up a certain classmate. The next thing was that the top heroes came in, surrounding the premises and surveilling for suspicious activity that they now knew was going to take place sooner or later. Then it happened. A warp gate opened and villains came out, ready to fight.

The first person to come out of the gate was Shigaraki, the leader, who immediately realized that something was off, seeing as none of the students or teachers were there. Then it was Dabi who came out, then Toga and Twice. They all stood there dumbfounded, having expected something entirely different. While they were in their confused state the heroes started attacking and soon enough the villains realized this was a battle they could not win so they retreated with the warp gate once again. No villain was caught.

When Kaminari went back to his dorm room to check on Shinsou, the purple-haired boy was already gone. Had he done the right thing by telling the heroes?

A few days later found Kaminari walking through a park. The UA students had been let off from school for an entire month and they were free to do whatever they wanted. So there he was, on a walk. He'd gone through this park with Shinsou before, which is the reason why he chose it. A part of Kaminari wished he might find the villain there. Why that was, he didn't know.

After walking around aimlessly for hours on end Kaminari decided to go back home. He'd try again tomorrow like he did yesterday and the day before that and every single day since they were let free. He had to see him again.

Ring Ring. Kaminari's phone rang in his pocket. He took it out halfheartedly, looking at the caller ID only to see an unfamiliar "Unknown Caller" text in its place. His heart dropped in an instant. Could it be him?

After one more ring, Kaminari tapped the "accept call" button and put his phone to his ear. He wouldn't say anything, just listen. The other side of the call was completely silent save for a person's breathing. Kaminari bit his lip, not daring to say a word. It was him, he didn't need a vocal confirmation to know that.

Even so, Shinsou's voice came through the call, "I don't have much time, so I'll make this quick. I hate you, Kaminari Denki."

The boy in question gasped, his eyes welling up with tears. He knew as much, how could he expect Shinsou to still love him if he betrayed him like that? Even so, it hurt him to have his suspicions confirmed. A part of him believed there was a chance for them to still be together.

"Is what I wish I could say to you", Shinsou picked up after a slight pause and a snort, "You deserved that, Denks'." Kaminari nodded furiously after sighing in relief, though he knew Shinsou couldn't see him so he spoke up as well, "I did. I really did, oh 'Toshi I am so sorry."
