The Distraction (blarry story)

Chapter 6

Blaise looked over at Harry, he was reading his potions book intensely. "Harry, what's got you so interested in that book?"

Harry looked up, "oh umm nothing."

Blaise slowly nodded, he knew there was something but Harry obviously wanted to avoid the topic. "the first game is coming up." he noted. Harry nodded in agreement. Blaise smiled slightly, "we should make a bet."

"what type of bet?"

Blaise grinned, "well if slytherins win then let's hang out in the slytherin common room one day. No homework, no nothing, let's just get to know each other better."

Harry held back a big smile, "and if gryffindors win then you get to try muggle candy."

"deal. Well see what happens in a month."

Harry nodded, "prepare to eat muggle candy."

Blaise chuckled, "in your dreams Potter."

The gryffindors went to the three broomsticks on Saturday to eat something and for Hermione and Ron to have a butterbeer. Ron groaned when he saw his sister and Dean making out in the corner. "that's my bloody sister."

Harry shrugged, "poor Seamus."

Hermione nodded in agreement, "and Ginny, they've been fighting."

Ron glared at Dean, "he's making my little sister cry?"

Hermione placed a hand on his shoulder, "Don't add yourself in the situation."

Ron huffed, "Mione."

Harry looked between them and slowly nodded turning to see if his food was coming soon. When he did that he caught a glimpse of Blaise laughing away with Draco and Pansy. He smiled softly noticing how good he looked when he laughed carefree. Part of him wanted gryffindors to lose so he could have an excuse to hang out with him but he couldn't throw for such a selfish reason.

Finally their food arrived. Harry still watched the slytherins from the corner of his eye whilst he talked to his friends. Suddenly profesor slughorn sat down to talk to them. Harry smiled at him politely and talked with him for a bit until he left.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw a Draco sneaking into the bathroom, he turned to the slytherins and saw another Draco. Something was going on, "there's two Malfoys here."

Ron and Hermione looked over at him. "what do you mean?"

Harry leaned over the table, "I just saw one Draco go into the bathroom and there's another Draco sitting with his friends."

"what if you and Ron go into the bathroom and catch the other Draco?" Hermione suggested.

Harry shook his head, "I'll go alone, if he escapes you two can catch him."

Harry stood up and went to the restroom and looked for another Draco. He wasn't there, he wasn't anywhere to be found. He went back to his friends and shook his head, "there was no one there."

Hermione frowned, "that doesn't make sense."

"maybe he left through a widow or something?" Ron offered.

"maybe." Harry said.

They quickly finished eating and they left.

As they walked back to Hogwarts they heard screeching. Katie was levitating up in the air and letting out horrible sounds. Leanne looked horrified, "I told her not to touch that!" she cried.

Hagrid heard it and quickly took the student to the hospital wing. The rest of them were takin in to be questioned by McGonagall.

Harry told her what he saw saying it was probably Malfoy who had done it but she told him that was a very big accusation to make.

Later that day Harry used the map to find Blaise and went to talk to him. Blaise was sitting in the astronomy tower reading. "hey, can we talk?" Harry said.

Blaise looked up from his book, how did Potter find him? "uh sure."

Harry sat down next to him, "today in the three broomsticks, Malfoy was with you the whole time?"

Blaise smirked, "you were watching me?"

Harry blushed and refused to look at his eyes, "answer the question."

Blaise chuckled, merlin was he cute when he blushed. "yes Harry, he was with me all the time. Why?"

"no reason." Harry quickly answered.

Blaise placed his book down, "look I know you don't trust him Harry and I know you don't trust me either but as his friend I can tell you that he wouldn't actually hurt anyone. Other than maybe a harmless hex and his words but that's besides the point. He wouldn't hurt anyone badly nor would I let him. I heard what happened with Katie but if you were looking at me all the time then you'd know it wasn't him."

Harry sighed, deep down he knew that the Draco he saw with Blaise and Pansy was probably the real Draco. "I guess you're right."

"so you admit you were looking at me the whole time?" Blaise teased.

"I did no such thing." Harry defended with a bright red face.

Blaise laughed, "I guess I can't blame you, I am pretty attractive."

Harry shook his head. "in your dreams Zabini."

Blaise leaned forward, he might be taller than Harry standing up but sitting they looked the same. He smirked at the red faced gryffindor, "it's just factual Potter."

They stayed looking at each others eyes for a moment. Blaise wanted to kiss the boy in front of him right then and there. So he slowly leaned getting excited when Harry replicated his movement.

"Blaise are you here?" Pansy called out scaring both of them. They quickly jumped apart just before Pansy got to the top of the stairs. She looked at both of their flushed faces and smiled nervously "did I interrupt anything?"

Harry quickly shook his head, "just came to tell him something quickly. I should actually get going."

Blaise watched sadly as he left then glared at his friend hoping Harry was far enough away. Pansy got closer to him, "I interrupted something didn't I?"

Blaise nodded, "doesn't matter now."

Pansy sighed and apologized.

Harry got to the gryffindor common room with his face still red. Ron looked at him and gasped, "mate what's wrong?"

"huh? Oh nothing, just ran a little. Saw something I shouldn't see. Now I'm here." Harry lied.

"well do you want to play a game so you take your mind off of whatever you saw?"

Haery nodded.
