But Why / Poem Three

The grass is green,

Some ants are red,

The flowers are blue, pink and purple

The clouds are white,

And the sky is blue,

But why!

Tell me why!

I don't know the color of the ocean, sea and lake

The house is orange,

The car is silver,

The tire is black,

And the roof is brown

But why!

Tell me why!

I don't know the color of the ground outside.

AUTHOR NOTE:

I also wrote this the summer I was going into grade7. I learned that the sun wasn't yellow when I was in grade six and for the entire time I was like WHAT??? HOW?????

I read up on it a bit more and learned some facts not relating to that of what I had researched, even though I still found my answer.

I learned that the sky was blue from some sort of light called Raleigh Scattering (yeah I had to look up that name again for writing this because there was no way i could remember such word, like Raleigh WHAT... anyways).

I found out that the moon didn't illuminate itself. Moonlight is actually sunlight that shines on the moon and bounces off. Yeah I was like what when I found that out too.... yep nature played a lot of trick on us...hehe.

I learnt many other stuff and researched even more. Then couple days later I wrote this poem. Baha.... the funny thing is I'm looking back at this wondering why did I even write a poem about it but I guess I was really into nature at that time.... now... I'm sharing it with you :)

Hope you liked it until next time.

Hasta luego
