Your tongue moved to dislodge something in your mouth.

"This crystal," you started, taking out a small crystal from your mouth, "sends me visions. I saw you and heard your name when I heard you coming."

You knew the crystal may seem like just an ordinary white and translucent rock to some people, and priceless to experienced mineralogists, but it was far beyond priceless to the World Government who knew of its powers.

You heard Law breath out a quiet sigh when you started talking. "So it sends you information through visions. Is it information about the future?"

"In a way, but not clearly." The crystal was a family heirloom, and your parents never got the chance to explain to you how exactly it worked.

The sword lowered from your throat, and you could almost feel his eyes bore into you, calculatingly as he took in your words.

"You were on a Marine ship," he finally said, giving you information you didn't know. "Where they after this crystal?"

If those were Marines, they didn't give off that vibe. They were more like pirates, you remembered. "Maybe, but most likely not just because I can see the future. I can also see the past, which means I can see into the Void Century if I know how to control it. They were probably after me because of this."

You waited for a reply, hoping that this would satisfy him and that maybe he'd tell you more information on his side.

He huffed, and as if reading your thoughts, continued. "We saw the ship in the middle of nowhere and there wasn't anyone on it, so we decided to take a look around. Found you and a body lying there."

"A body... how is he?" you asked, now worried. Noah.... He had risked his life to save you.

"He was dead when we got there." He paused, seeing the look on your face, possibly able to read you like a book. "We left the ship after seeing not much to loot and it's long gone now."

So he's a pirate. Much more hospitable than those Marines, you figured bitterly. You stayed silent, thinking about your friend's last words. You finally nodded, biting your lower lip to stop it from quivering.

"Where's the quarterstaff?" you managed to get out evenly. You moved your arms, trying to feel for it.

"To your left."

Your hands reached out and managed to grasp a wooden weapon, shaky. You felt small and intricate carvings on it, familiar and recognizable. You faintly remember Law telling you to keep it away from him because of the Seastone. "Just one body?" you asked, realizing something. "Was there anyone else?"

"No."

They weren't finished... they must have escaped before Law arrived.

The pirate stayed silent for a moment longer, and you could feel his eyes judging you. He sighed once more, and you heard him stand. "I can make you glass eyes if you'd like. It would look and feel better than just stitches over it when the bandages are gone."

You nodded slowly, confused as to why he would do that for you. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it. And don't mention the D in my name," he said firmly. "You will know my full name as only Trafalgar Water Law."

You quickly nodded at his request. It wasn't a difficult task, but you wondered why he was so concerned over you knowing his name.

As you heard him leave, you had another vision. A boy with a white hat. He looked like the younger version of the Trafalgar Law you saw in your previous vision. A pink, feathery cape, donned by a blond man with sunglasses. A similar man, with a dark red hat, smiling. "Will of D".

You heard another voice of his crew talk to him, and you took out the crystal again. You rubbed your fingers over it, thinking.

You winced as a jolt of pain rushed through your head from your ruined eyes. You were blind now. That was a fact, but it wasn't like you had great eyesight before anyway; you had poor and deteriorating sight, you were might as well blind before this, or about to be. And, at the moment, you had too much to worry about already. The death of a friend, the meeting of this stranger, and what to do next.

This man was kind enough to help you, even if it was only for the information you had. The vision you saw was probably part of his past. You weren't sure what the "Will of D" was, but it seemed that it was something to be concerned about, at least to the man who saved you.

You sighed. If he didn't allow you to stay here, which you didn't doubt, you were doomed. You had no where to go and, being blind, had no way of getting anywhere anyway. He was only keeping you here because of his curiosity, and it wouldn't be long until he got answers to satisfy his curiosity.
