Tejo's Journey to Independence

Her Independence.... Their Regrat

I will give a summary before I write the ff. In this Tejo was able to convince Khushbeer into accepting Simran and was successful in bringing her home into the arms of her awaiting mother. The divorce was finalized a few days after and Tejo asked Khushbeer to please forgive Fateh and let him marry Jasmine as they loved each other (I do not like cheater couple). He didn't want to agree, but she said for him to think of it as a final present for his daughter. He was never able to give her anything, so did this for her.  He told his family that Fateh and Jasmine would be married the next day to everyone's surprise, including Fateh. He told everyone that, it was Tejo's only request from him. That she asked him to accept their relationship. He said while he could never forget what happened, he would not let his his promise to his daughter break. He told them how Tejo told him that Fateh and Jasmine love each other and by not letting them marry no one in the family would be happy. She did not want Fateh to be unset, causing him to leave his family. She knew that would affect Gurpreet a lot and Gurpreet finally got all her children back and didn't want her to lose another. Gurpreet was shocked, guilty, and a bit upset hearing this. She hadn't been the nicest person to Tejo and had even asked her to leave the house, yet Tejo kept her promise and brought her daughter home to her and now asides being in pain herself Tejo was thinking about Gurpreet's happiness. It hurt her thinking that as a woman Tejo's world was falling and no one was there for her, when Tejo was there for everyone. Also, the fact that when Tejo was there, she couldn't give her the love she deserved, as she was blinded in the love she had for her own children. Fateh was also shocked and guilty. He was surprised that despite cheating on Tejo and hurting her, that she was still thinking about his and his families happiness. He wasn't able to keep her happy, yet she thought about everyone and that made him happy and sad. He was happy that he had the opportunity to be her best friend, yet sad that he hurt her and that he may have lost that very best friend who put him before herself.

Tejo went to the Sandhu household and asked them to also accept Fateh and Jasmine's relationship. She told them she did not want what happened to her to be the reason the Sandhu's lost their other daughter. Even though they said they wanted nothing to do with Jasmine, she told them that they would in the future. That a mom can be upset at her child, but could never hate them. She has seen Gurpreet long for her children and she did not want that for her mother. She saw the even though he said otherwise Khushbeer's eyes spoke something else, that after forgiving her and seeing him hug Simran that, that was the hug of a father who missed his child. She knows at the moment her family is upset at Jasmine, but eventually they would miss her and long for her. She asked them if not for Jasmine then for her herself that they accept Fateh and Jasmine's relationship and attend their wedding. They agreed, as they could never give her the love she deserved, but if she wanted this they would give it to her.

The day of the wedding had come and everyone attended it with a heavy heart. As, the couple was taking their rounds the police caning in to arrest Khushbeer as there seemed to be fraud in the accounts of the academy. During which, Khushbeer grabbed his heart having an heart attack. Everyone including Fateh ran to him, braking the knot trying him to Jasmine. Tejo who was outside as she couldn't see the wedding herself heard the commotion and ran inside the mandir. Seeing Khushbeer she started to do CPR and yelled to Amrik to get the car. Upon, bringing the car Amrik, Gurpreet, Mahi and Tejo got into the car. The whole trip to the hospital Tejo performed CRP. The doctor took him straight into the OT. Afterwards, everyone else had come to the hospital. While at the hospital, a person from the Canadian embassy called Fateh telling him, that they reviewed his case with Jasmine and show that he was married to someone else when he applied to go to Canada with Jasmine. They said the was called fraud and that they were going to put a black spot into their passports and that they would never be able to go to Canada. They also told him that they will be informing their other allies of their fraud, which would stop them from being able to get visas to any other country.

The doctor came out and everyone asked him how Khushbeer was. He told them that they were lucky by getting their in time, but even more lucky that they had a person like Tejo who was able to do CRP the whole way and keep him alive. He told them that if not for Tejo that Khushbeer wouldn't be with them today. The Sandhu's were happy that their daughter was once again able to save a family. The Virk's were also very thankful to Tejo for wat she did for them.

The doctor was going from there after informing them the Khushbeer was going to be alright, but before that he asked Tejo if she would go with him as he needed to speak with her. Once, they went, Tejo asked being worried for Khushbeer if everything was really ok with him. The doctor said that Khushbeer was lucky to have her and that he will be alright. She, then asked why the doctor needed to speak with him if Khushbeer was alright. To which, he told her that he was impressed with what she did and asked her if she was a medical student or doctor. Tejo told him she was neither. Upon, hearing this he smiled and told her about a friend from USA who, was in the broad for a major USA hospital, that asked him to see if their were any intelligent people there. The hospital was starting an program that would bring intelligent people from around the world to study and become doctors. Tejo, was confused of why the doctor was telling her that. The doctor seeing her confusion told her that her not having a medical background and keeping Khushbeer alive showed how intelligent she was and he thinks she would be prefect for the program. Happy to hear that someone felt this way for her she smiled, but then told him she needed to think about it and went from there.

When she returned to the family, they asked if Khushbeer was really alright and what the doctor had to tell her. She told them Khushbeer was in fact alright. She told them that the doctor wanted to tell her that Khushbeer should not have any stress. It was not the truth, but she did not want to tell anyone what the doctor told her. She was confused herself, as she had wanted to be a professor. She then told the Virk's to take care and the Sandhu's that they should go home. She also told the Virk's that they should go as well and that only two people would be able to stay over. Gurpreet said that she wouldn't go and all four of her children said the same, however after arguing who got to stay Gurpreet said none of them would stay and to come back in the morning. She also told them by morning she needed them to get the case dropped against Khushbeer as she did not need him to take any stress.

Everyone went home. The Virk children were awake trying to find away out, but they were not finding anything. The morning came and the same problem was there however the family needed to go to the hospital as they had to take food and clothes for their parents. They reached there and saw police officers about to enter Khushbeer's room. They knew he shouldn't take stress and asked the them to give them a few days to find away out of this. However, they did not agree and entered the room. Seeing them Khushbeer who had opened his eyes a few minutes before started to have trouble breathing. The doctors ran into the room and told everyone to leave, but no one left. Thankfully, as it was happening Tejo and the Sandhu's entered. Seeing what was happening she went to Khushbeer and took his hand in her hand and told him to not worry. That they will not be able to touch him and she solved the issue. She told him to trust her. Upon, hearing her Khushbeer calmed. Everyone was impressed how Tejo was able to calm Khushbeer and before anyone could say anything, she handed a paper to them. The paper showed that the money was paid and there was no more issue. Then, they got a phone call from the captain. They told the Virk's that they were lucky to have a girl like Tejo. Khushbeer said he knows his lucky, but wanted to know what happened. The officer said that she had helped a lot of people who got together to pay off their debt and that there was a little bit left on the debt and that Tejo sold one of her bengals set to pay it off. They all looked at Tejo with pride. Khushbeer who was holding Tejo's hand told her he was very proud of her and because of her good nature that people came to help him. He told her, he owed her, to which Tejo told him it was a daughter's job to protect her father. That Khushbeer thought of her as his daughter and she thought of him as her father. She told him she would do the same for her own father. Khushbeer smiled, but had tears in his eyes, which Tejo noticed and wiped. He kissed her hand and told her, that he was lucky to have her, but he wasn't happy she sold her own jewelry. He said that he would have found away. She said that she knows he would have found a way, but she didn't want him to stress, nor could she let him spend a day in jail. That asides him his family would break. She then, told him to relax. The doctor's checked him over and told him the same and left. However, before leaving the doctor who spoke to Tejo asked her if she thought over what he said.

Everyone asked the doctor what he was talking about and the doctor told them. Everyone, was happy that Tejo was getting a great opportunity and a new start. They, asked her why she hadn't told them. She told them she wanted to fix the issue here before she thought about it. They told her that she needs to take it. Tejo, said that how could she? That who would take care of them as in the Sandhu's. Rupy told her that they will take care of themselves and that it was them who should take care of her. That they have asked a lot of her and that she needed to take care of her own needs. Satti, said that her daughter had to suffer a lot because of their deeds and that they no longer could do this which her. Khushbeer told her that while she was gone and studying that he would help the Sandhu's in whatever way he could. He told her that now they needed to come together and be a family for her. That she joint both families by her love and that as a family that will be there for each other. He told her she needs to be able to take control of her own life and to move away from everything. He then said, to try it and if she did not like it that she could come back and do whatever she wanted. He told her, that no matter what the Virk house will always be her home and he will always be her father. Rupy said that the Sandhu house was hers and will always be open to her no matter what she does. Seeing and hearing her parents, Tejo realized that she needed to get away to move on with her life so she told the doctor that she would take the offer. The doctor smiled and told her the program started the following week and that they would be leaving the next day. She was confused of how she would get visa and get everything ready, but the doctor said he will get her visa ready, that she only has to get her things packed. Mahi and Abhiraaj told her they would help her shop and get everything she needed. Simran, Buzzo and Amrik told her they would also help that way they could finish faster and would be told to have one last dinner together. The Sandhu's said they would go home and get things ready for her and that they would cook her favorite foods. Khushbeer asked the doctor if he could go home to spend one last day with his daughter; to which he agreed.

Everyone went to shop around for Tejo and get things ready for her departure, Beeji and Bauji asked if they could go along with the Sandhu's as they wanted to help out also, to which they agreed. The only ones left in the hospital were Khushbeer, Gurpreet, Fateh and Jasmine. Khushbeer said nothing and looked on. Fateh tried to speak with him and apologize, but Khushbeer only turned his face away from him and told him that he had nothing to say to him and that if he didn't give Jasmine the responsibility of the academy that this day wouldn't have come. Jasmine tried to say something, but Fateh held her arm and widened his eyes at her telling her to stop. He said to Khushbeer that he was sorry and knows that it was his fault and asked what he could do to get him to talk with him again. Khushbeer told him that he could do nothing and that the only reason he could be in the house is because he promised Tejo to never take Gurpreet's children away from her if not for her he would have kicked him out. He told him that if he wanted to do anything then go to the mandir and marry Jasmine properly as he promised Tejo that as his last present to her he would get him and Jasmine married and that he would keep it. Fateh tried to protest, but Khushbeer said that was the only thing he could do. That if he had any respect for him he would do it. That if he ever really cared for Tejo that he would get married to Tejo.

It was night and everyone had gone to the Sandhu household. They had fun with each other talking and laughing. Fateh and Jasmine did go to the mandir and got married as Fateh's ears ring when Khushbeer told him that if he ever really cared for Tejo that he would get married to Jasmine. He knew he hurt Tejo a lot and wanted to talk with her, but he didn't get a chance at the hospital and he knew she would be to busy as she was getting ready to leave. Something, hurt him knowing that Tejo would leave. He knew he lost his best friend and that somewhere Tejo no longer even considered him as a friend, but he never wanted anything bad for Tejo. She really was the prefect person. He felt bad hurting a person like Tejo and he truly wanted to apologize to her. However, Khushbeer (told him after Fateh called him to inform him that him and Jasmine got married as per his request and that he would let everyone know when they got together for dinner) that he did not want Fateh and Jasmine to be there in Tejo's last dinner with the family, as he did not want Tejo to feel uncomfortable and once again his wish to speak with Tejo was gone. However, Khushbeer did tell everyone at dinner that his told Fateh to marry Jasmine and that they did. Tejo smiled at him, but everyone knew she was hurt.

In the morning the Virk's went to the Sandhu's again to wish Tejo a good journey and tell her how proud they were of her. Fateh and Jasmine were able to come to see her off, but no one gave them a chance to speak with her. She hugged everyone except Fateh and Jasmine and wished them all happiness. Everyone was crying she told assured them that she would call them all everyday. She was going, but before going she told both families to try accepting Fateh and Jasmine. She told them that if wasn't wrong to love, yes they were wrong in the way they did it, but whatever happened, happened and it can not change, but they were there children and children make mistakes. She said that she has forgiven both of them, yes there is pain within her that would never go, but she wanted everyone including herself to move on. As she was about to sit in the car to go, Jasmine spoke. Seeing her sister going asking the families to accept them, solving her issue with the academy, convincing the families to get her and Fateh married she realized that maybe somewhere she was wrong. That she hurt her sister and that the sister who was always there for her fought for her until the end to give her what she wanted never deserved what she and Fateh did to her. She realized it late and her sister was living, but she needed to say something it. She told Tejo that she was sorry, she told her she knew that her sorry wasn't enough and that it wouldn't heal the pain she and Fateh caused her. She said that she knew that they could no longer did sisters the way they use to be, but she wished Tejo the best and that Tejo got everything she deserved. That she get people who love her unconditionally. She told Tejo that she always took from her, but today she wanted to give her a wish of a good life and asked her to never let anyone else be a Jasmine, Fateh, Sandhu's or Virk's in her life. That she gave to much up for them and was never able to get what she wanted. That it was her life and she deserved the best and to live it the way she wanted. Tejo smiled and set in the car. She couldn't give Jasmine a hug and tell her that all was forgiven, because the truth was it could never be, but she heard it in Jasmine's voice that she really did want the best for Tejo and she wasn't saying it to only say it. Fateh wanted to tell her sorry also, yet unlike Jasmine he wasn't able to form words. He saw her sit in the car and saw the car drive away. He wanted to stop the car and tell Tejo that he was going to really miss her and that he was extremely sorry, but his guilt was not letting him talk. The Virk's left the Sandhu's afterwards, but before going the Sandhu's gave Jasmine and Fateh a small gift for their wedding. They ask get them blessings, but they did tell them that they couldn't accept them the same as they did before, but for Tejo they would be civil with them. The Virk's did Jasmine's welcoming ceremony giving her a gift and blessing both. They also told them that they also couldn't accept them, but that both will get respect as that was what Tejo wanted.

Everyone was sad that Tejo left included Fateh and Jasmine, but they tried to bust themselves. Fateh wanted to be by himself, so he went for a walk. His feet brought him to the station, looking up he realized what he needed to do. He walked in and asked for the captain. He asked if he knew where Tejo sold her bengals. The captain asked him why, to which he said he needed to know and he needed to right at least one of his wrongs. The captain was able to tell him. He went to the shop where is show an older couple looking at the bangals. He begged them to not take them and asked the shopkeeper to please sell it to him. He had saved some money and would buy it, he saved it for his future, but he knew those bengals were hard earned by Tejo and he needed to get them back. Looking at him on his hands and knees begging to not sell and take those bengals the couple told the shopkeeper to give it to him. The shopkeeper, asked why he needed it to which he replied, that that was hard earned by his wife sorry his best friend or he wasn't sure what they were. He said that Tejo worked hard to earn them and that he did not know what to call there relationship as he hurt her a lot. That she was the perfect everything and that his selfishness made him lose the one person who truly cared about him more then herself. That he hurt her beyond repair. That it was his fault his family was in trouble and even after everything he did with her Tejo helped his family. He said he would clean the floor with a toothbrush if they wanted, but her needed those bengals. Upon, hearing him the shopkeeper said he didn't want anything for the bengals and that Fateh could take them. He said he pitied him that he lost a real gem. Fateh, said he couldn't take it like that, to which the shopkeeper said upon hearing his story he started to think of Tejo as his own daughter, that any family would be lucky to have her. Then, this was a gift from a father to his daughter.

Taking the bengals he went home and straight to his room. Looking at him Jasmine asked what was in the bag. Fateh ignored her, to which she told him he could ignore her, that she will take it as a punishment for hurting Tejo. To which, Fateh replied that he was no one to punish her, as he did the same, probably even more then her to Tejo. He then showed her the bengals and told her, that he got them back and that when Tejo returned he would give them back to her.
