Her Logic On Her Own

Living life on a foreign country of Tucson is hard especially with you getting there only by yourself.

Of course, you hadn't expected it to be a picnic but you certainly hadn't thought for your dad to extend his search for you worldwide. He go as far as to showing himself in a news channel to call out for those who could see you anywhere with a price in your head.

It was stupid, downright naive even, to believe that you'd be able to find security in Junho's house here but it was what you did anyway and he promised not to open his mouth to your mom.

The moment the morning comes after your departure one week ago, he had told you how police officers went into your house and scour every rooms in order to search for any clues to lead them to your whereabouts.

Thankfully, you went ahead of your plans and clean it without giving away anything in your last visit to your mom.

He also shared how your mom is talking about your dorms being searched and all the students there being interviewed. It is with a heavy heart that you listened to Junho who talked about how the three boys he had once met were visiting in the house.

He said they seemed to be waiting there all day with your mom in the porch, as though hoping that's the place you'll turn up in the first time you would decide to return.

It would have been so much easier if you hadn't found out the truth that you were engaged to Jay. But you had and you couldn't continue staying there.

You might hurt a lot of people, with your mom and dad, the lovesick trio and your friends from the Academy, but just for this one time, you wanted to run away from everything.

Maybe in order to find yourself as well, to find what you really want to do in this confusing cycle of the reality.

For now, you'll be in your own in another country and maybe just maybe, once your heart is reaching out for home, you'd want to return.

As you clambered onto the bus after working on your visa in the foreign affairs, you managed to snag one of the window seats and stared out as the bus sets off.

How much longer would you be able to remained hidden away from them?

And as you continued to stared out across the road in time to see a familiar face in the sidewalk, you realized the truth.

You stared in horror as Hyunjin entered a car with one man in his side, and you continued to watch as they followed the bus before your stepbrother stick his head and calls for your name loudly, causing for the people in the bus to look around.

You had no issue with ignoring it, but it wasn't fair for Hyunjin who flied all the way here to have his effort wasted. Rising from your seat, you walked to the front of the bus and pressed the button to get off at the next stop that was less than a minute away.

The stop approached quickly and the moment the bus stopped, you were scrambling off it and waited anxiously for it to pull away. Once it had left, you stared across the road to the waiting Hyunjin who was too lazy to even cross the road.

Instead, you were the one to approach him before you crossed your arms in your chest.

"What are you doing here?", you asked, drawing away from him to put some space between the two of you.

"Dad wants you home", he said as if it was news to you.

You were sick of hearing that phrase. He certaintly wasn't your dad anymore and neither was being by his side can be home.

Scoffing, you rolled your eyes, "I have left there and surely that was enough for all of you to realized that I have no intention of going back there"

He sighed as if he was growing tired of this. And who cared if he was? You were certainly growing tired of their continued pestering for you to be a part of their family.

"Sister -"

"Would you quit it with the sister, bullshit!?", you exclaimed, forming your hand into a fist and before he could stop you, you punched him in the guts.

The result were him stumbling down the trash can behind before you called for a taxi and left him there being helped by his butler.

The instant you entered Junho's home, with no resident for they were all now in SoKor, you instantly crouched down by the bed in your room and retrieved your suitcase you'd shoved from underneath.

Throwing it open, you hurried around the small space to pack your things.

Now that they knew where to find you, you doubted that you had long until they tracked you down here. Haphazardly gathering your things from the closet, you groaned in annoyance when a pack of hair ties and other things fell to the wooden floor.

When you kneeled on the floor to gather everything, you faltered for a moment when you came across an all too familiar bracelet. It had been a gift, one that you treasured daily until you were made to leave the gifter behind.

As you crossed your legs, you held the bracelet in your palm and stared at it for a long moment, Park Sunghoon always had a good taste.

The arrogant bastard had thrown it to you with the declaration that if you accepted it, you will accept his invitation out on a date.

And there was the velvet box of ring from Jay just a few feet away from it along the souvenir from Jake at your vacation from Australia with him.

Blinking away the memories with them, you stared at the three things for a moment longer before rising to your feet with a sigh. Why you were still hanging onto them up until now?

When you were done packing your things, you pulled out the map from under the pillow in the bed.

Unfolding the map, you slid the ring from your hand and close your eyes, randomly dropping it on the map. Once you opened your eyes, you stare down at where it had landed before putting the ring in your finger

That was where you'd be going next.

There was no logic behind your movements, no pattern, and your dad even with his massive money to pay some private investigators to find you, would struggle to figure out your moves.

It was all just a matter of luck.
