The movie night was nothing special. Milo, Paige, Sam and Jamie sat in his home theatre watching all the classics they could possibly think of off the top of their heads. Of course, The Breakfast Club was the first movie of the night they watched and Paige was still furious with Jamie's reactions. It seemed that despite watching the heart-warming ending to the film, the group of misfits still didn't do anything for Jamie. And that pissed Milo off. The next movie they decided to watch was Pretty in Pink, deciding to stay on the Molly Ringwald train and see where it took them. Jamie seemed to like that movie a lot more, maybe because of the obvious conflict. Whilst sitting next to Jamie, Milo noticed the way his nose scrunched when he laughed and how his eyes crinkled when he flashed a smile so wide that it took up his entire face. The rather large TV screen illuminated his eyes, causing them to be a deeper and more calming shade of hazel than before. Milo wasn't sure why he was secretly staring at Jamie, he just knew he needed to stop before Jamie noticed.Milo focused his attention back on the third movie of the night, 10 Things I Hate About You, where Paige was fawning over Heath Ledger (aka Patrick). Sam was rolling his eyes and making comments like 'I'm way hotter than him' every few minutes when he appeared on screen, an action which only brought laughter from Paige.
"You wish you were that hot, babe," Paige patted his cheek, "Heath is just on another level."
Milo chuckled as the two of them began to bicker about Sam's level of hotness in comparison with heartthrob Heath Ledger's. Jamie was intently watching the movie, whereas Milo had seen it many times before, so he was still intrigued but less so than Jamie.
Paige rolled her eyes, not just at the question but also at the 'top athlete' comment. Milo wondered if they ever grew tired of their constant rivalry for the top spot.
"Sorry," Jamie turned towards them, "Heath Ledger is hot. My gay ass would go for him any day."
Milo couldn't tell if he was being serious or playing it up to get a rise out of Jamie, either way, Milo felt an indistinguishable feeling settle in his stomach at the news. He wasn't sure where it was coming from, but it sent tingles shooting up and down his arms, like tiny fireworks exploding all over his skin. Okay...if felt better than it sounded. Sam and Paige both turned to Jamie with a surprised expression.
"You serious?"
"About what?" Jamie asked.
Sam hesitated, "Being gay."
"Yeah, I'm serious." Jamie said curtly, his eyes flicking to Milo before darting back to the TV screen.
"Cool." Paige smiled, "Now I finally have someone to help me make decisions on guys I can't decide are attractive or not."
Sam grunted, "Excuse me?"
"What?" Paige put her arms up, "I'm not blind, I notice other guys and their hotness level, its not like I'm gonna do anything about it."
"Yeah, that makes me feel so much better, thanks."
It was at this moment that Jamie decided to rake a hand through his hair, an action that Milo found himself watching with curiosity. Jamie turned his head slightly, Milo looked away but didn't fail to notice the small smile that appeared in the corner of the hazel-eyed boys' lips.
"Oh my god," Paige hit her boyfriend's shoulder as he continued blabbing on, "just shut up and watch the movie."
Sam grumbled for a moment but turned back towards the television as the prom scene approached. Jamie collapsed back in his seat, the aggressive movement allowed the scent of his cologne to waft over. He pressed a button on the side of the couch and a leg rest began opening itself. Oh, Milo may have forgotten to mention that Jamie was absolutely, positively loaded. You'd never expect him to have this much money, well, his parents have all that money, but they so clearly did. It was evident in the luxurious house Milo found himself a guest at. It was three floors and had hidden corridors and rooms everywhere. The three of them had taken a tour when they arrived, and all of them had just looked around the house in absolute awe. It was fancy as fuck. Suddenly, Milo's attire seemed all too casual for the house they were in. Jamie didn't seem to mind seeing as he was in something similar. Milo couldn't help but think of the absolutely insane party that Jamie could host here.
