The Queen of Bonten / Mikey x Reader

Chapter 1

It's time, I think to myself. Takemichi must have just time leaped back to the present. It has been 12 years since he jumped for the last time.

I see him and Hina enter the banquet hall and he looks so shocked, but he should be proud. It's because of him we are alive and living our best lives.

We all fill him in with all the information he's missed to catch him up. We tell him what we've been up to.

Draken runs a bike shop, Mitsuya is an up and coming fashion designer. The outfit I'm wearing is designed by him too. Chifuyu owns a pet shop and Kazutora helps him out there. And the list goes on for everyone, but the main thing is that we are all happy.

Takemichi looks like he's about to cry, but then again, what's new? But I can tell he notices something is off, something (more like someone is missing). It's obvious who is missing, it's Mikey.

Eventually once we are outside Takemichi figures it out and he asks Draken. Draken tells him that Mikey is very busy running a restaurant overseas at the moment and I wish that was true more than anything.

Takemichi seems to accept that answer and he then turns to me. "Hey y/n, what have you been up to?" he asks. "Oh me? Not much haha. I spend weekdays working at Chifuyu's pet shop and my weekends at Mitsuya's, helping him too" I say, not lying but not telling him the whole truth.

No one knows the truth, everyone thinks I haven't seen Mikey since he ran away.

Flashback

"Haha stop it!" I giggle as Mikey hits me with a pillow. "No way!" he says and I snatch it from him. I pull too hard and end up falling into Mitsuya. "Oops sorry" I say and I get up.

"Okay both of you need to calm down" says Draken and we do.

All of us are hanging out at Mikey's today because he said he wanted to tell us something later.

Mikey settles down next to me and rests his head on my shoulder. This boy is the clingiest but I love it. I have to admit I can be just as clingy. It's comforting to the both us knowing that they're right here in our arms, the safest place they can be. I don't know what would happen if Mikey or I lost another person.

"Hey you better not fall asleep" I say as I hear Mikey let out a big sigh. "Don't worry, I won't" he says.

"Hey it's getting late, didn't you want to tell us something Mikey?" asks Chifuyu. Mikey's mood changes. He has a defeated look on his face. Something that you don't see often. There's a reason why he's called the invincible Mikey but others you know.

He gets up and faces all of us, just like if we were in a Toman meeting. Oh how I miss those....

"I'm joining another gang. I do not want to see you guys anymore after tonight" he says, almost in tears.

Everyone is shocked, some are yelling at Mikey and others are too shocked that they're speechless. I can't believe my ears, I don't believe it.

"What the hell Mikey?!" Draken says, he gets up and he's mad. He walks up to Mikey but Mikey can't even make eye contact with him.

"I've made my decision. Nothing anyone can say can stop me. I'm sorry but I need to do this for everyone, so everyone can have the best possible future" Mikey says.

Draken gets ready to punch Mikey. "DRAKEN!!! Stop it!" I shout out and he puts his first down and leaves. Not soon after so does everyone else. The only ones left are Mikey and I.

"Y/n, I meant you too. I don't want to see you anymore" says Mikey. I go up to him and hold his face in my hands, wiping away his tears as my own leak from my eyes. "You don't mean that" I say.

"Yes I do y/n, I'm doing this for you, for everyone" he says and he pushes my hands off of him. I look at him, right in his eyes. "Y/n.... I want you to have the best future ever" he says turning away.

I hug him tight. "Mikey, you're my best future" I whisper to him. He puts his arms around me. "I want you to be happy" he says. "I won't be happy unless I'm with you" I tell him. "Y/n, you won't be safe with me, everyone I love always ends up hurt.... or even dead" Mikey says. "I don't care Mikey, I lost people too. I know what it's like but Mikey I can't lose you like this. Plus you know I can handle myself. Where ever you go, I'm coming" I say. "Okay then, lets go" he says.

Present Time

I walk into an abandoned warehouse and I hear a voice ask "Hey y/n, how was the wedding?" it was Sanzu. "It was nice, kinda relaxing knowing I didn't have to do anything crazy today" I say. Sanzu laughs, "I thought you love crazy?" he says. "Haha, you're all the crazy I need in my life" I say and he laughs at that.

"Where is Mikey?" I ask him. "Oh in his office" he replies and I make my way to Mikey's office.

I enter and I see Mikey just sitting at his desk staring at nothing. He doesn't look the same anymore. He's lost so much weight and he hasn't slept in days. I need to help him soon or who knows what will happen.

Mikey looks up at me, "Hi love" he says. His voice showing so little emotion. "How was the wedding?" he asks me. "It was really nice, I wish you went" I say. "You know I can't, I haven't seen anyone in years" he says.

"Anyways, come sit with me" Mikey says. I walk over and he pulls me into his lap and we both giggle, something he doesn't do often. I miss his smile. Mikey had the most precious smile when we were kids.

I rest my head on his shoulder and play with his hands. He's so thin, I'm worried I might break him. He's not as strong as he was before.

"Mikey, have you eaten today?" I ask. "Not yet" he replies. "Alright let's go get dinner" I say trying to get up. Mikey grips me harder. "No stay here, I'll send one of the guys out to get us dinner" he says. "Okay" I say and kiss him on his cheek and lay my head back on his shoulder.
