3rd of October : Mirror

Dreams...

In the Multiverse, they can be very meaningful.

They must be taken seriously.

But me, unless I drink paint before sleeping, I don't dream. And even then, they're very basic.

But when I close my eyes, I can concentrate hard enough to distinguish something.

Shapes through the darkness.

Like if I was shown something.

Sometimes, I see me, Ink, but different.

Sometimes I see other people I know, and their life.

But there's one...

When I'm in front of a mirror.

If I look around, I'll see other people I know, they each look in a mirror. 

Their expression is always very hard to distinguish.

And when I look in the mirror towards me, I see nothing.

Nothing.

And yet, I know there's something. If I look deep enough. Maybe one day...

Maybe one day, I'll find it.

"I've made a very weird dream the other day, Ink."

"Uh ?"

Blue and him were spending the day together on the Surface of Underswap. It was very pleasant, as always, but Ink missed the time when they were three for these kinds of days. But it wasn't his fault if the third member had stopped coming.

"What kind of... dream ?"

"One with a mirror."

Ink had no effort to do to not look surprised.

"What happens in it ?"

"I don't know, there's a mirror in front of me, and I can see other AU inhabitants with their own mirrors around me."

"And ?"

"When I look in the mirror, I see myself. But, I save people ! I'm a hero Ink ! I help them, whoever they are, and always with a great smile ! That's exactly how I imagine myself being in the Royal Guard !"

"So... that mirror shows you what you want the most ?"

"That's what I thought at first. But I talked about it to Fell Sans, in the Omega Timeline. He told me he had made the same dream. But in his mirror, he'd see a version of him that looked afraid and sad. He said it was... bull"something"."

Ink was intrigued. If everyone had made that dream, it had to mean something.

"So, what are your conclusions ?"

"Well, my theory is that this mirror shows us how we truly are inside ! That's fantastic, right ? I wonder who else had that dream !"
