"Are you sure that doesn't disturb you, Ink ?" asked CORE.
"Nah, I perfectly understand ! Those kinds of accidents happen ! Just tell them to get well, I'll handle the mail at their place !" he simply answered.
Easier said than done. Ink knew how to deliver mail, but sort and give it to its respective addressees was much harder. But hey, how hard could it be ?
"That's very simple," explained the Ice/Mail wolf in charge of teaching him. "There are three main rules :
1. The owner of each envelope, each parcel is indicated on it. If it isn't, it will be returned to the sender.
2..."
He leaned closer to Ink.
"No. Peeking. Never. I've made gods regret peeking into other people's mail. Understood ?" he said, showing his massive fist to Ink.
"...Yes. I think."
"3. All packages go in the yellow trash can." concluded Ice Wolf as he turned around and exited the room. "Better not disappoint me."
Welp. I already regret.
Ink sighed as he saw the first customer arrive. A very old Whimsum.
"H-h-h-h-He-he-he-"
"...Hello ?" proposed Ink.
"Y-y-y-y-e-"
Please someone help me.
He simply searched through the mail, until he found a minuscule package with "Granny" written on it in a very small and shaky writing. What were the odds it wasn't the right package ? Not high enough for him to wait a second more. He simply put the box in the Whimsum's hands, who stopped talking and simply flew towards the exit, realizing trying to say goodbye probably wouldn't make things any better.
As Ink was looking through the envelopes, he found one with "Fell, Underfell Sans" written on it, and multiple pink hearts on the paper. Ink stared at it for a minute, before finally being sure it concerned his friend.
Fell has... a secret lover ?
Or maybe an admirer.
Nah, who could admire that ?
For a moment, he was tempted to rip the letter open to read it, but it took him all his force to not succumb to the curiosity. When Fell came into the post office, a large trench coat covering him, he slowly and quietly approached the guichet, and screamed when he finally saw Ink hold his letter.
"Hey, Don Juan~"
"Wh-What the fuck are you doing here ?!" quietly yelled Fell.
"Nothing, just trying to find something interesting in the mail, and found I have." said Ink with a smirk. Fell grunted.
"Just... give me that fucking letter."
"Not before I know who sent it to you."
"None of your damn business. I thought one of the rules of this place was "no peeking" !"
"It's not peeking if you didn't intentionally find/open it !"
"Give. It . To me. NOW." said Fell as he gripped the wooden counter separating them.
"Geez, so salty ! Here you go." Ink simply slid the letter into his hand.
"Good. And if you dare talk about that to anyone, I'll shove intestines into you, then rip them out of you !"
And he was gone.
"Finally, the last one." thought Ink as he handed the last package (a manga) to a far too excited Alphys.
He turned around, ready to close the empty bag, hand it to Mail Wolf, and call it a day. The thing is... the bag wasn't empty as he thought. He put his arm in it, to retrieve a single envelope dripping some black liquid. Ink. He felt this wasn't a hazard. But who...
He opened the envelope, and pulled a single piece of paper out of it, on which was written a word in black ink, followed by four others, each of a different color.
" FIND
Them
Me
Us
Yourself"
