~✧~Taraphina banged on the door of the bathroom she had to share with her roommates Emma and Laila Greengrass.
"Emma, how long are you going to be? You've been in there for half an hour," Tara complained annoyed.
"Don't rush me, I'm almost done," Emma replied, just as annoyed.
"At least let me get my make-up," Tara demanded, banging on the door again when there was no answer.
"I'll go then," the brown-haired girl heard another uncertain, quieter voice in the room.
"It's fine, I'll tell Emma," Tara gritted out between her teeth before banging on the bathroom door again; too busy paying attention to the other Greengrass girl.
Finally the door opened a crack and Tara got her make up into her hand, then the door slammed back into the lock.
"Thanks," was all Tara said, rolling her eyes as she turned away from the dark wooden door.
She quickly attended to her make up, drawing her black eyeliner in record time and then quickly changed into a black cocktail dress.
Just as she took one last look in the mirror and pulled two sections of her long brown hair forward over her shoulders, the other of the Greengrass twin sisters finally came out of the bathroom.
Confused, the blonde looked around the room, "Where's Laila?" she asked, a little confused.
"She's already gone ahead," Tara replied as she watched herself in the mirror.
"Ah."
Already the door to the room was slamming into the lock. Sighing, Tara now also made her way towards the common room. She was hardly used to dealing with the two of them in any other way, even though the constant tension between the three of them annoyed her greatly.
As soon as she entered the hall, she heard the music get louder.
The bass shook through her body as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Young witches and wizards were dancing to Muggle music or sitting on the sofas talking. The smell of alcohol permeated the entire common room.
When Tara finally spotted her brother and friends in the far corner of the common room, she hurried over to them and plopped down on the leather sofa next to Theodore.
The brown-haired Slytherin boy whistled beside her as he took in the beauty of her figure, in what Taraphina claimed was a 'daring' dress. Tara grinned in response, they all knew these remarks from Theodore were in jest, Abraxas rolled his eyes nonetheless.
"Congratulations sis, you're only 35 minutes late," he noted as he peered at his pocket watch and tried to change the subject.
"Thank you dearest brother," Tara replied playfully, "As I reported the other day, my timing is improving."
Samuel began to cough across from Tara, which earned him a threatening look from the witch.
"Is there something you want to tell us Samuel?" asked Tara suspiciously.
"What no no... your timing is... fantastic," he brought out with a laugh.
Tara eyed him skeptically nonetheless, she knew he didn't mean a single word of his statement. She also knew he was absolutely right, but still she persisted, trying not to admit the fact.
"Vodka Tara?" asked Louis after a brief silence.
Tara nodded in agreement and watched Louis and Leo make their way to the drinks table.
