The alarm on my phone beeped with a vibration, breaking my sleep with a sudden strike. Like everyone else, I despised waking up but that wasn't the case today. I decided to check the accident's location today because although the police may find a junior detective student's words uncanny, I have a strong faith on Detective Park's words.

If he said that something dropped in the river, then it did. And even if it didn't, checking once wasn't that bad.

I got ready to leave. The earlier I get on work, the less difficult will it be to deal the mass cameras.

It was just 5:00 am in the morning, and most people would be asleep right now. So should be Yeonjun, but he was nowhere to be seen. I pulled on his duvet to see if he was sleeping like a baby, snuggled up in a foetus.

But much to my surprise, it wasn't so. He was actually up and not on his bed. Noona couldn't be calling him at this hour.

"Did he leave already?" I mumbled to myself and packed my bag. He was quite busy with the documents yesterday. Mr. Jung had rang him up at midnight, asking him to try to complete the post mortem report but just how he had said, all the evidences that we had, was some mere finger prints and photos. The actual corpse went to the National investigation agency.

I heaved a deep sigh and opened the door of our shared bedroom and started walking towards the kitchen when I noticed Yeonjun, sitting on the couch in the living room, working on something on his laptop.

He, as usual, was dressed in some sweatpants and tees but his prescribed glasses, topped his messy morning look like some cherry.

"Hey! Busy?" I asked.

"Mhm." He hummed, sparing no glances at me.

"Okay. I'm going out. Hopefully be back before 9:00 am." I said, proceeding to the door. He removed his glasses and turned to look at me with a question mark on his face.

"You're going out? Where? It's not even sunrise yet."

"I know. You read the news, right? I'm going to the spot to look into the river." I put on my shoes as I informed him.

"What? The accident spot? Are you insane or what? Don't you think there can be journalists already and you going there, alone, can make you seem sus?" He got up from his position to reach me.

"Well..."

"You didn't think of it, did you? How will you be a detective if you aren't concerned about your own investigatory methods?"

"Aah! C'mon, it's okay, okay?"

"It's not. Wait a sec. I'll come with you."

"But you're busy." I immediately stopped him.

"I don't know if I'm busy or being forced to work like an ass. How am I supposed to get the post mortem without the body? And Mr. Jung won't stop bothering me. Now the investigation department has cancelled the case because they proved that it's a 'suicide' with no abnormalities." He complained about his condition.
