19 :: Latte and Lies

Everyone's problem solver, they were that one bunch of smiling monkeys who make my problem, their own, without even expecting everyone to do that for them.

Describing friends is very complicated, and they're actually complicated to understand in the first place. But I grew up with all of them and if I were to tell anything about them, then that would only be a string of pearls, adorned only with admiration for each one.

Ku Changmin, the ace of the group. However extremely passionate about dance, he started studying bioscience and law under special coroner's commission. We had a hard time believing that he chose that only to remain with the rest of us in the same college, and gave up his chance to be an idol.

Jang Yunhua, the clown of the group. He has the weirdest habits out of everyone else and he can be completely wild on rather odd days. He loves being goofy and make every effort to lighten the mood. But on impressive occasions, he's the most serious one out of all.

Lee Jaechan, the mom of the group. He has a soft heart and a pretty face. Sometimes it's difficult to recognise him as a junior constable, already posted in the Incheon district police station. He is our other perfectionist. Nothing is ever wrong when managed by him and he possesses that godly power of finding anything that you can never find: keys and cards in the drawers.

Yoon Seohi, our sunshine. She loves things with all her heart, whether they're television characters, her dogs, or the people around her. She is too modest about her abilities. She won't admit it, but she's a gifted actress with a gorgeous singing voice. And again a total nerd, the techie.

And then at the end, Cha Junghoon. Besides Dami, this friend of mine has known me the longest. In fact, he's my best friend. He's incredibly supportive, and accepting. But he can be a whole mood while enjoying stupid games. He's a great listener, and is willingly to help out everyone in need. And skipping the fact that he is everyone's favourite, would be very low of me.

And that's exactly how much I adore them.

I had called Seohi in the morning while she was having a solo concert in her shower. I invited all of them to our favourite café, Cappuccino. I had prepared a script, just following all the exact guidelines Soobin had layed.

I was overjoyed to see Seohi come in the first. She ran for a hug and we suited ourselves to our usual table. Jaechan and his boyfriend, Yunhua, were exactly 3 minutes late and the ace had decided to get us all delayed by a good amount of time.

Although I was satisfied and relived to see all of them, I missed the brightness that Junghoon used to bring in our group meetings. He was sick, burning fever, as told by his nanny.

I was worried about him but I let that thought pass. All of them looked very down and I didn't know how to start a conversation.

"Let's click some photos, shall we?" I agreed to Yunhua's proposal and God knows how many silly selcas were taken one after the other.
