Chapter 47

Y/n fiddled with her fingers and was almost on verge of crying. Chan side hugged her and waited for the conversation to start. He was more than nervous to find a police sitting in front of them and was going to investigate about something with Y/n.

The door bell rang. Chan left the door open as Y/n didn't seem to leave him since the police have arrived. Three people walked in an Y/n looked up. She left Chan when Micha ran towards her to give her a tight hug.

"Is something wrong? I mean why did you call all three of us here at Chan's house?" Doctor Park asked the police man.

"It seems that you and Mr. Chan is unaware about this matter." he replied. "I think we all should settle down soon and start the inquiry." he added.

The arrived people took their places on the couch. Y/n sat between Micha and Chan. She was trembling like the last night. Chan was concerned. He held her hand and squeeze it to give her comfort. Y/n stared at Chan and leaned closer to him. Chan once again wrapped his arms around her.

"Uh...can we start?" the police asked. The three friends felt uneasy and mainly Y/n.

"Miss Y/n can you please look here." the police said and she broke the hug and looked up at him.

"You don't have to worry about anything. Just tell us what happened yesterday. I know it will be hard for you but the sooner you give the statement, the sooner we can punish the culprit." he added and Chan frowned.

"Wh-what happened?" Chan asked. Y/n heard this and her heart raced. She retracted herself from Chan while panting hard.

"Y/n-ah," Taehoon called "I think you should tell this now. There is no point in hiding things when it's clear that you aren't fine. Trust me we all are with you and somewhere it's my fault so please tell everything. Let's end this because I am uneasy since yesterday. Please Y/n."

Y/n wiped the tears which fell on her cheeks. She made up her mind. "I-I a-am re-ready t-to tell you." she let out in her horse voice.

"Take it easy and tell everything from the start and somewhere if you feel very uncomfortable then stop alright?" the police asked.

"If th-that's what he-help us t-to keep th-that gu-guy away from us, t-then I will te-tell you everything."

Chan's head spinned after listening this. His fear came true. He already started having hints of the incident. He didn't want that to be true. He will be again blaming himself for hurting one more person. That person was Y/n and he really didn't want her to get hurt. He waited for her to speak up. Y/n was looking at the police. The police then turned on the recorder to record Y/n's statements.

"H-he did thi-this to me." she said turning to look at Chan. Chan sat frozen when he heard this. His heart ached once again feeling the familiar pain. He wanted someone to tell him that was false. He didn't like that.

"D-daehyun did this." she wiped the tear fallen on her already tear stained face. "I was drunk and Micha and Taehoon weren't around me. I was taken in a booth and he..."

Micha rubbed Y/n's back in comfort. Chan wanted to do that for her but he didn't move an inch. His brain didn't allow him. He was simply looking at the ground, hearing Y/n's words and already cursing himself. He was more than shocked. He was hurt too. He turned to look at Y/n but immediately looked away being ashamed of himself.

Doctor Sungho was shocked too. He knew about Daehyun and what he did to Chan. He was not believing that his half daughter was in a miserable state because of the same guy who made Chan's life a visible hell. Lump formed in his throat when he thought that he failed to keep Y/n safe, he failed to keep the promise he made with Y/n's parents. She was a daughter to him and seeing her in this condition was surely not easy.

"Miss. Jung are you comfortable? Take your time aright?" the police said. "Or let me ask you questions and you can answer them, will that be fine?"

"Sir please she is not fi-" Taehoon words were cut off when Y/n nodded. The police sighed.

"Ok then tell me did he hurt you physically?"

"Y-yes he ch-choked me." she said.

"Did he try to drug you?"

"Ye-yes." she answered and Chan shut his eyes close while warm tears rolled down his cheeks.

"This question is a bit uncomfortable but I have to ask this, so sorry. Did he touch you in an inappropriate way?"

Y/n gulped and after few moments nodded slightly. Chan sensed that and held his tears but failed. Y/n too started crying remembering the whole scene.

"Next question, did he do this to you for the first time or it have happened before as well?" he asked and Y/n froze.

The truth only she knew was going to reveal any time now. She tensed. Chan opened his eyes when he didn't feel Y/n answering. His mind went blank when he heard Y/n's next words.

"I-it's th-the sec-second time." she said and all heads snapped towards her.

"When did it happen for the first time?" the police inquired.

"I- few we-weeks ago wh-when we first met."

Everyone felt betrayed by the answer, mainly Chan. He never expected that something happened when Y/n cleared that day she wasn't hurt. She lied. Chan then realized why Y/n hid the truth. It was because of him. He was emotional that day when he recollected his and Heejin's memories. He thought he was at the fault for not listening to Y/n. For not understanding. He wanted to disappear at the moment.

"Y-y/n why didn't you tell us before?" Taehoon asked in disbelief.

"I didn't want to. It was nothing compared to what he did this time. Also for Chan, I had to hide it." she confessed and Chan finally looked at her. He cried. Y/n was looking at the ground letting out every single emotion she was feeling.

"What did he do last time?"

"H-he hu-hurt me wi-with a kn-knife on my u-upper left arm." she said.

"I think this much information enough for the case. Miss. Jung Y/n don't you worry we will do our best to sentence Daehyun. Till then please take care. I guess I should leave. Everyone don't worry I will look into the case." he said and left the house.
