"A restless soul with a reckless font, but she had never acted as a rebel without a cause."

Volume 1
__Verity didn't believe in acrophobics, to fear the distance between land and oneself is rather irrational. No one was afraid of heights, they were frightened to fall. It was just like the phobia of darkness, to be scared of the dark is an understatement— but to fear what's inside of it is what alarms individuals.
To say she was petrified of heights is a lie, a misconception. Verity's element doesn't allow the user to hold such fear, it will only worsen her control. Oh no, she was mainly afraid of her friend—not confirmed, pilot skills. "LEO!"
"Im trying!" Leo yells back.
While Piper clung tightly onto Leo's waist, Verity had no choice but to grip Jason's. Her grip around him was deadly tight, causing the boy to wince at each tug. Verity couldn't take the blame, after all she did have the back seat to make matters worse.
Jason on the other hand was afraid they'd lose their target, this caused him to disregard Verity's firm grip around his waist. His focus was fully on the 'ventus' that had an incredible ability to move rapidly which was expected from its kind. "Speed up!" he urged.
"Are you insane?" Verity questioned through the rustling of the harsh breeze swimming past the demigods and Festus.
"Bro."Leo said, "If I get any closer, he'll spot us. Bronze dragon ain't exactly a stealth plane."
Verity certainly said, "I could trail along from the ground, and you'll follow from above?"
"No." Sternly, Jason answered.
"Sorry Vers, but the storm spirit would definitely question the witchcraft behind a flying human tailing behind them." Leo added.
Piper pipes in, commenting as a worried mother, "and you did get a strong blow to your body, back there."
"Even a bigger no!"
"Slow down!" Piper yelped.
The storm spirit dove into the grid of downtown streets. Festus tried to follow, but his wingspan was way too wide. His left wing clipped the edge of a building, slicing off a stone gargoyle before Leo pulled up. Verity only wishes it didn't fall on any civilians below, transiting from a human being to a bloody pancake splattered across the concrete is unquestionably not in her bucket list. Surely, not in anyone's else.
"Get above the buildings," Jason suggested. "We'll track him from there."
"You want to drive this thing?" Leo grumbled, but he did what Jason asked.
